Hey guys, I just had a few questions about how to connect my blu player, speakers, and surround sound to the tv.

Im buying this TV here: http://www.usa.philips.com/c/televi...81cm-32-inch-digital-tv-32pfl4505d_f7/prd/en/

I have read that the speakers I very bad, so I wanted to use these speakers with it: http://www.google.com/products/cata...=X&ei=eYx-TrGIC9HZiAKe8qm6Aw&ved=0CIgBEOUNMAM

My question is how would I connect these speakers to my tv, so i could hear them through regular cable viewing. (IE no on, off or anything)

It looks like the TV has RCA L/R outputs and the speakers have RCA L/R inputs as AUX, so you should be able to do it with a RCA L/R audio cable.

It would also work as RCA L/R from the TV via a 3.5MM cable into the green audio input jack on the speakers.

You could also do 3.5mm to 3.5mm as well from TV to speakers.

How do you get your TV channels: cable, satellite, over the air or from the Internet? If you use some sort of decoder box, I'd recommend running either the two channel analog audio or digital audio from the TV decoder box to your receiver, and using it for TV audio. If you get your TV channels over the air, or you're still able to tune cable TV channels with the built in tuner on your TV, you should be able to run either analog or digital audio out from your TV to your receiver, and use it for audio from your TV channels. I can't see why you'd need another set of speakers in addition to your receiver and speakers. Even if you're out of inputs on your receiver, you can get a switch to hook multiple sources to one receiver input. IMO, this should be better than adding a set of PC speakers for TV watching.

If you want better sound, what's stopping you from using the receiver for tv? Many shows have surround sound after all, often Dolby 5.1 if you're watching a digital broadcast.

I love using my receiver for TV, but the rest of my family cannot for the life of them turn on a receiver. I just wanted to make it simple, so when the TV turns on, the smaller speakers (which would remain on i guess) would be on. Its seemingly like too much of a hassle though, so theyll probably have to learn. Thanks for your help though, I appreciate it.
