Similar to the promotion last year, Microsoft is giving two free games when you buy a new Xbox 360 console.

I know many people that didn't purchase their consoles during the promotional timeframe still got games, so it never hurts to try again.

You must purchase a new Xbox 360™ system between August 8, 2006 and September 15, 2007, establish a new Xbox Live® Account, then register on the promotion web site on or before September 15, 2007.

Games are said to be delivered before September 30.

I would expect 400 MS point games, as that's what we got last time. (I got Joust, Frogger, and Contra last time.)
 
I actually did buy my 360 within that timeframe. Unfortunately, I didn't "register a new Xbox Live account", I transferred my original Xbox account. That shouldn't be a dealbreaker. I hope not anyway.

Hmm, don't know my console serial#, I'll have to do it later.

Expect to be disappointed then. Those games actually have people interested in them enough to buy them. It'll probably be Joust and Gauntlet or something.
 
I registered mine but I don't know if they'll actually give me the codes since I bought my 360 a long time ago. It has broke twice so they do owe me :)
 
Sweet thx, my bro got a 360 a few months back so I used his, hopefully it will be better games then last time but I doubt it
 
I did this last time and actually did buy a 360 during the time frame and yet I'm one of the ones that didn't get anything..

Hoping for Contra or maybe Small Arms if I'm really lucky..
 
I tried this last time during the Holiday Promotion and didn’t get anything. :cry:

But if I recall correctly another promo code surfaced giving away four games. Any chance that will happen again and is it worth holding off just in case?

I don't know if I would wait. Nobody really knows how they decide who gets these. Some people didn't get anything last time. They might fill a quota?

And I don't think anybody received four games. IIRC, some people got two, while others got three (even when using the "four game" code). Plus, I think those codes were distrubuted around the same time via emails. If nobody got a different code recently, this might be the only one they are offering
 
i bought a 360 during the last promotion, and four calls to 800-4-my-xbox later i finally got my promo codes. time for some restitution...
 
alright time to dig around and find my old serial number...fucking refurb. I didn't get them last time either, so hopefully it works this time around.
 
I'd say go for it if you've bought a new console recently and even if you are using an old GT.

Last time this promotion ran, I had bought my console before the timespan and used the GT I created when I bought the console (in May of last year), but registered for the contest anyways figuring it was worth a try. To my surprise, they sent me codes for Frogger, Joust, and Robotron. That coupled with the Old Spice Challenge (where I received Contra) got me 4 free games!

I got my 360 last year for my bday (Sept 20 2006)! Just submitted my request. HOPEFULLY they are 2 games that are good AND I don't have. Thanks op!
 
Didn't register a "new" XBL account, but I did get my 360 new during the right date period. So I figured I may as well give this one a shot and see what happens. Thanks OP!

Thanks for the info OP. I bought my X360 in November 2006 and then started a new account. So I do qualify. I'll see what happens.

In case you don't feel like following the link, the two games are Robotron 2084 and Frogger.

Fortunately the live account can be Silver, so you don't need to sign up a new Gold account if you happen to be upgrading systems.
 
Signed up for this, bought my 360 late last August, so hopefully I will get the codes. It doesn't really matter to me, as I already have Frogger, and Robotron isn't a big deal. Would still be nice to get it for free though.
 
Figures MS would make their form a pain in the ass to fill out using Safari.

Yeah, well since I bought a gimped Elite (one of the first models before they fixed stuff) and paid the extra $30 for the priviledge, the least they could do is let me have these even though I didn't buy within the time period. At least I had held off on registering the system, so for all they know I did just buy it. or is there some way for them to know? My gamertag was made in April though...

D'oh! I totally read the OP as saying 8/8/2007. I just assumed this being posted right now meant it was starting right now (since it was posted around the 8th). I figured it was some new promo for the new price-dropped consoles only :rofl:.

Well, damn, then it pisses me off they never let us know about this. I wouldn't have known if it were not for CAG.

Anyway, I just did it (after peering behind my 360 to get the stupid serial number). It never told me what the codes were going to be for. I took it from other posts that people were told when registering? It said my info was submitted and they'd let me know when it was verified. I guess I have nothing to worry about now and I'll give 'em hell if I don't get the codes.
