Types of Movies CAGs Like?

CAGiversary!
Hi.

I write and direct my own films, and am looking to start a new project soon. I was wondering what topics and genres of films interest you. Thank you very much for the help, as I am currently undecided.

I'm usually into weirdo philosophical movies, comic book type action flicks, or movies/TV circling around the subject of death. At least, this is the information I can extrapolate from a quick glance at my DVD shelf.

Action, martial arts, comedy (offbeat, quirky, offensive, or in someway not-normal-bullcrap type comedies), anime, crime dramas.

Like alongx thats what I deduced from looking at my DVD shelf, the results actually kinda surprised me.

I guess, also like alongx, I also like movies that somehow make me think deeply.

I like historical based action movies like Braveheart and Gladiator. I'm into the history of the Middle Ages and Ancient Rome.

Scifi. What kind of budget do you have, low or no? I assume you have actor friends. Can you do any animation/special effects?

I can do moderate special effects. Actors are my friends, but my friends are actors. I have pretty darn limited budget, but fancy myself to be quite good at stretching it.

I like any type of film as long as it's well made...I know that doesn't help you in any way, nor does it make much sense at first, but I've been able to find at least one movie across every genre that I can enjoy. If I had to chose a favorite though, it would be comedies (slapstick or intelligent)
Who is going to be the first person to say they prefer porno movies? :D
Looks like you got that award.

Nobody said I prefer them! ;)

i usually go for action/adventure and comedy. my comedy just has to be STUPID. I love stupid movies. go all out on the funnnies. light-hearted comedies like..say...the new version of "The Stepford Wives" make me want to throw-up.

not a feminist, but I find movies in which the lead is a powerful ass-kicking woman, 100x more enjoyable. :p so basically a "biyatch!"

Drama, Comedy, Psychological Thrillers, Mysteries, Silent films, Horror (if done right), Sci-fi, and everything else in-between.

I hope to eventually go to CSU Long Beach and major in Filmmaking.

Ninjas! No, make it vampires! Or pirates! Even better, pirates figthing ninja vampires, or vampire ninja sharks!

I like all kinda of movies. Star-Crossed lover stories, Movies where they play with time (Pulp Fiction, Memento, etc.) and...I dunno. I have weird taste, but yet I own lots of movies.

Almost anything I own.
If you ask me, if you don't have Christopher Guest or Wes Anderson movies in your collection, you don't have a collection.
