finally an online fighter for the DS... it's taking forever for KoF DS to release so this is nice news...
FYI, Bleach DS is not only online/Wifi, but it's also by far the best fighting game on DS.
Is it import only?
Is it import only?
Yeah, but DS are region free luckily. I also agree that Bleach DS is the best fighting game on the DS. I do like how they fixed some of the characters in the 2nd. If you played the first, you know what I'm talking about.

Yeah, but I could see Sega bringing it over pretty quick. Look towards E3 for an announcement from Sega. I personally think Jump Ultimate Stars is a better game, but that's mostly because I don't care for the Bleach universe too much.

Am I the only one who liked Bleach 1st better then Bleach 2nd? 2nd seemed a lot more gimmicky then the first.

Yeah I know the DS is region free. I may have to check one of them out...I'd rather just not pay an import price. I could wait and see what comes up at E3 too.

That screenshot looks like a photoshop mock-up, but if the graphics are that sharp and arcade faithful, I'll buy it day one. A $20 price wouldn't hurt, either. That probably won't happen, though.

The XBLA release of UMK3 really made me appreciate it more than ever. It's a really fun, fast paced (but shallow) fighter that's really good in multiplayer.

Midway better get some single card multiplayer working on this!

I've had Jump Ultimate for a while and have never played it on wifi. I really should. It's a fun game, but I've never played Bleach. For all I know Bleach may be better, but I'm not a big fan of Bleach so I doubt I'd appreciate it as much as Jump where there's all different series and characters to try.

if capcom makes a ds version of third strike i will buy it faster than you can say "the BEAST"

Personally I think they should just keep the pre-match vs. screen up on one screen, with the normal UMK3 game on the other screen. And the character select screen could use the stylus, something pointless like that.

those are really good ideas... either that or play both puzzle fighter and UMK3 at the same time on each screen... >_
I still say Street Fighter Alpha 3 Advance beats all DS fighters, even being a GBA game.
It was good but the whole not enough buttons was kind of annoying. Turbo Revival was good as well, of course except for the Akuma glitch. SFA3 Advance also seems primitive now that we have Street Fighter Alpha 3 MAX on the PSP. I would like to see them do some form of Street Fighter II or III with Wi-Fi on the DS though.
well, without online you can still get UMK3 for PSP.
been there ..done that..need online!!!

umk3 is my most played live game

Trailer shows Rain. Who knows if he'll actually be in it though.
Weird... most of the clips appear to be from the SNES version (note the character names appearing BELOW the life bars, and of course Rain being a playable character). But then there's a clip of Reptile vs. Jax in which the names appear INSIDE the life bars. So they're using two different versions of the game to assemble that (clearly VERY early) preview video... strange!

This is like when they used screenshots of UMK3 to preview Midway Arcade Treasures 2 (which only included regular MK3).
btw someone should change "Puzzle Fighter" to "Puzzle Kombat" in the thread title.
Its such a rip off I had to... but I'll change it for ya ;)

(just watched the video a few posts up) wow. games looks great and runs smooth. this is going to be a good buy on the ds.
