Understandable. My thing is when members calculate in miles, gas, etc. when there asses were going to the store anyways. I live in a small/medium size town west of Nashville and some stores are limited to one location. However, I'm fortunate to have multiples K-Marts/Wal-Marts. This is just me, but when there are deals like this I'm more than willing to drive out of my way to score extras for the community if possible. I don't expect or want to be compensated for gas, miles, etc. because usually I'm looking for myself too. I'm all about icluding paypal fees, shipping, and bubble mailer, but if you need money for your time, gas miles, etc. then you're not "Doing It" for the community, as much as you are doing a "paid service". Well that's my two cents, which really is only worth a fraction of that in this recession...lol.

I have to agree with both sides on this one. My opinion which really doesn't matter is that on a sale like this the best thing to do is just trade copies for other games you want. Whether they are from this sale or from other places and such. That is the best way to help people out. When you try and sell them cheap to help out most people bitch about every last penny.

I think many of us enjoy the search and are looking for ourselves when helping out. Thus I feel no need to be compensated for the time.

On the oter hand if you had a game I wanted from this sale like pure and wanted $20 shipped I'd just pay it and you make 4-5 bucks. Considering the number of people that flip and resell I think when selling them if your gonna be ultra nice and help others out, Like doing $15 shippd for these titles...I'd only do it for established Cags. I've helped people out and they still send cc funded paypal when told not to. A couple times I just accepted it.

Game+Tax= 10.80
Bubble Mailers (Bought a good deal of them which equaled to 13 cents a mailer) +0.13
Paypal Fee +0.80 (or so)
5 oz game through Paypal shipping, first class USPS: +2.05
Split the gas costs with ya, +0.50

=14.28. So, if you were a CAG I knew and respect I'd probably charge 15.00 (mainly because I wouldn't have done all the math, but knew that the total would be around 15.00 or under) If you're some random CAG, I'd probably charge 16.00 to make a dollar (or in this case, it'd actually be around 1.80). I think 18.00 is a bit excessive (but not too different from the 16.00 I may or may not charge) but then again some people may run to Walgreens to grab a bubble mailer for a buck if they didn't get a good deal on bubble mailers or may run to the post office to do their mailing if they didn't know about Paypal's cheap shipping.

I use Paypal shipping, but I have found that if I drop it off at the PO in downtown (which is a bitch to get in and out of because of the traffic) the package arrives quicker because it is a transfer station. Giving it to my mail provider or the local dropbox always seems to add a few days to the shipment. Like I said before, I don't think $3 is making a profit. There are plenty of CAGs I have traded with before that I would ship the game to for my cost period because they have helped me out. When I post something in a thread like this, I expect to get mostly new CAGs or lurkers wanting to buy the game, that's when it goes to $18 because it is my time gettting the game, packing the game, driving to ship the game, etc.

I never thought I would be posting so much about $3. Almost like Better Off Dead, "Where's my $2!?"

I have Bond for the ps3, with tshirt. I'll sell it for cost+shipping+fees. I could wrap the box just in brown paper and ship it like that, or put it in a 2nd box (that'll cost more for shipping) or just remove the game and send that in a bubble mailer with no box/tshirt.
