Uncharted 3 $20 GC @ Kmart

DOH!!! I saw the Kmart Thread, but thought it was only for Battlefield. The Uncharted deal was just announced today so my intentions were good.

I apologize from the depths of my heart CAG! I will not commit further transgressions and insult your honor.
 
There are now more complaints in this thread for this deal than there are for the exact same thing happening in the 924 reply thread for the $20 credit at Amazon Battlefield 3 deal.

CAG:

Amazon deal: Hooray for Amazon 5 stars!!! Would buy from again! OP is a champion for the cause!!

Kmart deal: There's already a stickied thread for this newb learn to read and go die. *mod merges thread with stickied Kmart thread*

Gotta give this kid some credit.

Took it on the chin, and came right back. Sometimes thick skin is just as effective as a flame shield.

I posted a thread on an Amazon DS deal a week or two ago and someone got upset because it had been mentioned months and months ago and then not a word since.
 
Flaming a thread for posting something found elsewhere is okay but saying hi in a trade thread is a silencing offense.

Good for those of you that has a Kmart near you, it costs me $5 of gas to get to my nearest one and back, and what if I get there and they don't hav what I want? Not worth it for me

It wasn't really flaming him imo. But everyone's definition regarding that is different I suppose.:razz: As for Amazon, they're getting kinda few n far between with the actual insane deals anymore, which is why I'm using up my remaining credit on my account and I'm done with em till the new year sometime.;)

That I did. Though I would not call it flaming insomuch as just pointing out that there's a mega thread with the deal listed already.;) There is a difference, to me anyway.:) It's like the folks who post the Amazon Warehouse Deals in seperate threads when there's a mega thread for it. It's really not necessary so long as people keep up with that mega thread.

But it is nice to see other CAG's trying to post what they feel are deals for the community. At least they're trying, which is more than can be said for the 90% of registered CAG"s who are lurkers/inactive.

kinda disappointed considering what a huge release uncharted 3 is. i passed on bf3 and may pass on this. still looking to use my $30 arkham coupon. may try for the metal gear collection ps3 but that deal will probably suck even more.

also tried to use the coupon on clearance games from the other thread but heavy rain and god of war collection both rang up $30 each.

at least i was able to trade in arkham city ps3 @ amazon for $36.50 after i was done w/ it.

kinda torn. i haven't broken my personal "don't ever buy a game for more than $35" rule since i bought yakuza 4 for $40 at launch.

Don't worry kid I got hated on in the beginning for posting the $20 credit for bf3 at amazon before it went live.
 
Whoever said they were disappointed or whatever with the deal...it's a $20 coupon and $40 off the PS3 wireless headset (buy the headset in the same transaction with Uncharted). $60 for those is a steal.

Yeah it's a great deal. $60 is the lowest price the headset has been and getting a $20 coupon with it seals the deal. I might buy the game + headset from k-mart if my UC3 copy from the subway contest takes too long to get here.

Any USB headset works with the PS3. Those cost about $10. Anything over $10 for a headset is kinda ludicrous imo. But if people wanna blow the cost of a new release game or MORE on a headset so they can hear people blasting their music, using the N word like it's the coolest word EVER or talking like they're from the ghetto(when they're probably some pasty white kids from the burbs), then more power to em.:booty:

But those three reasons above are why I no longer use my own headset.:razz:

Oh yeah I barely play online besides Uncharted. Even then I dont use a mic. I was just talking about for the stereo surround sound. To me at least they sound great as I'm used to just crappy TV speakers. I mean maybe you can get that kind of sound from a cheap pair of headphones I dont know but even then can you get the same quality of sound + wireless for any cheaper?

yup. late at night i use my sennheiser hd 555 (theater/music headphones) and put the sony ps3 bluetooth headset from the socom confrontation bundle into desktop/mic mode and set it on the desk in front of me. it works well, unlike trying to use the ps eye which causes echo and picks up ambient noise.

scored the sennys as amazon's lightning deal for $69.99. they seem to show up as a lightning deal from time to time, as well as on black friday last year, if anyone is interested.

I'm still kicking myself for having taken back the one Madden headset(that looked like a coaches headset) that I found converted from new to used at GS.

When I checked what it used to go for($60-80)new I was pissed at myself for getting rid of it, since it had fully enclosed headphones to it. I believe it was $10.

But I'm in the same boat as you, except it's a PC monitor with some small speakers that I'm used to hearing.

I have a RZ GC at BB so Im planning on picking this game up at BB. Do anyone know if the price-match guarantee still work on gift card deals anymore?
 
I always get lambasted for this but Uncharted is a rent. All of them are killer games but the replay is lost on me. The multiplayer on 2 was weak and 3 looks to be about the same to me. Just my opinion. I know it'll sell big and it should but not to me.

You think that maybe you get lambasted because you are going into a thread that is focused on a specific game and voicing your opinion where it isn't needed?

You don't like the game, fair enough, but this is the 3rd game in the series, people know they either like it or don't, you aren't going to change anyones mind or open them up to another viewpoint when it is strictly based on personal preference.
