You might try your local target? They are clearancing (is that a word?) them out, and could possibly even get them for a bargain. google cheapassgamer target clearance thread 19 and it should be the first look.

The Explorer edition was never relleased in the US, you're thinking of the Collector's edition. The explorer edition was released in the UK and perhaps other PAL locations too and looks like this:
Similar contents to our CE obviously but that trunk is awesome as well as the Book casing for the game which recreates Drake's Journal. You probably would have to rely on ebay to get one
