damn, walmart is only doing bundles? it was cools that they did no bundles for the xbox launch. ditto for kmart.com, but kmart tried to sell way more than they had iirc
 
Anyone know what time of day EB/GS usually puts up new console preorders? These will sell out instantly.

Most B&M Wal-Marts will have systems on launch. Also where do you live that you have to wait outside Wal-mart, BFE?

No way I'm getting a Wii bundle. The s*** they're going to try and force upon you will be ridiculous, both lame-ass games and humiliating accessories.

If my quest for a preorder fails in a few hours, I'm sticking with my GC Zelda and getting a Wii in March. All or nothing this morning for me, basically.

Or, if you're referring to being able to wait inside at a 24hr WalMart... from what I've seen, they're actually more common in the smaller towns. Here in Los Angeles the closest 24hr WalMart I can think of is in Palmdale... in the middle of the desert.

Any updateas to when Overstock.com is going to be accepting preorders?
Will the $50 off a $400 purchase coupon still work?

If so, thats what I am waiting for and if I can not get that, I will have no trouble getting one from my Wal-Mart launch day.

I cannot believe after the xbox360 debacle that anyone would even considering preordering a system from gamestop ever again

Hm, is anyone doing this? I missed out on my GS/EB's B&M preorders so this seems like my only chance..

But then again, they put a lot of unnecessary items to shoot up the price, right? I remember the 360 bundles and they weren't all too great. >_>
 
what kind of stuff did they bundle in last year at these stores? Games and controllers are fine with me, but i don't want to have an extra duffle bag and 300 dollar monster cables lol.
 
11/11 for Walmart. I bet their online warehouse will already have the PS3 delivered from Sony and they should have accurate numbers of how many they can sell online.
 
What I don't get is why these online preorders are taking so FREAKING long.

Amazon.com hasn't even received the details about their allocation from Sony yet. It's now ~25 days to the American launch. I can imagine that it'll take quite some time to process the huge number of orders they'll undoubtedly be getting.

Can anyone see the launch date being delayed? A bunch of news reports have been saying how Sony is having production problems again.

What time on these dates will they start taking preorders. I know amazon started theirs at 11am eastern time. I wonder if it will be activated at midnight on their website, or some certain time during the day..

If you are talking about the amazon Wii Sept. 15th preorder, it started a lot earlier than 11am eastern time. I got a preorder in at 8:40am eastern time.
