JUst got my Game Informer today, and it sounds like EA dished out the old "same game, new name" gig, again. Said the improvements in the gameplay were subtle.

Still...without that lefty glitch, last year's game was near baseball gaming nirvana!

I'm hoping for some better sliders this year, too!
 
GI is stupid. The game didn't need to change at all. How could they even fairly review it at this point? They must have had the game in early January.

GI doesn't know anything, check out this article out to see all the new stuff. It's not just same game, new year, their adding much more and fixing what was broken last year.
 
I wonder if MLB 2006 will retail at $29.99 or below to keep pace with MVP and 2K5's prices? I'm going to miss all of the competitive pricing for sports games once all these exclusivities take place.

Anyway, thanks OP, I got in on the $24.99 price for this.
 
I've loved this since the triple play days...last year was a bitch to hit home runs...they said they fixed it...i'll probably be getting it..
