I'm not looking for crazy avant-garde stuff, but I don't want X-Men and the Punisher either. I just enjoyed reading Kick-Ass and Fables. Any 'graphic novels' that CAGs love that they want to pass along?

i just started this new series Sparta USA. its got promise imo theres only one issue out so far but its got some interesting things hapening in it.

Y The Last Man
The Sandman
The Watchmen (although I'm sure you've read that)
The Authority (HUGE recommendation from me)
Preacher
Kabuki

Yes yes and Yes!

Seconding all of these, especially Y: the last man.

You really can't go wrong with any title from Vertigo, like Y, Preacher, also Hellblazer and Transmetropolitan.

Also anything by Warren Ellis meaning:
No Hero, Gravel, Crossed and many others.

A new comic that just got started is Joe the Barbarian, you might want to check that out, too.

If you can't tell, I'm a huge comic buff. PM me with any questions or thing you liked/didn't like. I love introducing people to new things.

Yes! So few have read it. Hopefully the upcoming movie doesn't suck.

Hellboy
BPRD (Hellboy team spin-off)
Y: the Last Man
100 Bullets

I just finished Planetary by Warren Ellis and I recommend it. I also like Powers by Brian Michael Bendis. DMZ is another good one too.

About 4 books into The Losers. Not really liking it so far, but I will give it a little more of a chance. Does it pick up, or if I don't like it, does it stay the same?

If you can ever find them Priest's Quantum and Woody is one I never hear enough of. Unfortunately, once Acclaim went bust finding them is a bitch.
