Some of these sound like they are written by a woman trying to emulate a sexist mindset "of a typical man." Seems like that would skew them from the beginning. "Many women have a quality of purity that few men possess." Seriously?
Others seemingly have little to do with sexism at all. What does true happiness in life have to do with a partner? Or "a woman he adores" ? Does that mean a sexual relationship? Familial? "Puts a man on a tight leash." Ok, so if you're going to make that assumption, you're more or less admitting it's a potential problem, but go on to say this is an issue only the man deals with? I.e., it's all in his head versus being a potentially honest character flaw in you?
"A good woman should be set on a pedestal by her man." What the hell does this even mean? That's potentially good OR bad depending on how you want to slice it. Does this mean loving and respecting her? Does it mean breaking your back backwards to serve all her needs? Does it mean putting yourself below her? What?
"Women, compared to men, tend to have a superior moral sensibility." Oh god. I'm not even going to touch this one.
"Feminists are making entirely reasonable demands of men." Failure to consider the opposite GET.
"Women, as compared to men, tend to have a more refined sense of culture and good taste." Too vague. Food? Clothing? Table manners? Appreciate a chocolate truffle more? Appreciate foreign movies more? This is too big a category to throw under the same umbrella.
Seems to me that this was written for the express interest of finding sexism in men from a woman's point of view, and not having any male perspective present during the writing.
I'm sure someone (cough) is going to write a big long dismissive and condescending reply though. Which I perversely look forward to.
one more to add to my ghey list
No, I'm just kidding. This poll is garbage and you summed up my thoughts that I couldn't sum up properly because I was busy raising my woman high in the sky on a pedestal, who I love more than anything and who if died would make me want to slice myself, above the rising waters of the tsuanmi that recently hit Arizona, because women should be saved before before men because of their heightened sense of culture and good taste.
