Unique problem (I think) with my 360?

Okay so I go to play a game last night I fire up the fine white machine other people refer to as the 360. It loads up the dashboard, and I'm getting static on the screen...WTF? I turn it off and fire it up again, same thing. I put a game in and nothing...at the bottom it still says open tray, I turn my controller on and it lights up and just starts blinking. The ring on my 360 has no lights on it. I have no idea what the hell is going on, I'm pretty sure it's ed I have the warranty and everything, but has anyone had a similar problem such as this one?

That's what happend with mine. No error lights, just stopped working. Time to call MS for that return box.
