I thought it might be helpful to keep a monthly list of games whose prices have dropped at all (or most) stores.
You can post in this thread, and myself and the Cheap Ass Moderators can update this original post. Last month's list

January 2005
Blinx 2 (Xbox) $20
Kingdom Under Fire: The Crusaders (Xbox) $20
Outrun 2 (Xbox) $20
Rocky Legends (PS2, Xbox) $20

To the person asking above, I picked up Ghosthunter for 19.90 at the Fry's in Duluth Ga.

When I see SSB for $30, it's always with the original (non-PC) cover. The only time I've seen it yellow was when I saw it for $20.

Can anyone else confirm this? I can't wait until it's nationwide.

Edge, what is "Natural Selection" I'm always up for trying new live games and i didnt see that game listed on any game sites

Natural Selection is a Half Life mod. It's kind of like FPS meets RTS.

Yeah, sorry I didn't clairify that, it's a HL1 mod. It's pretty much my most-played online game ever. I almost kinda wish they'd port it to Xbox though, I'd like to see that game get more of a fanbase, and it would be a pretty unique game on the Xbox (hell, it's a unique game even on the PC).

My friend just bought a GC and SSBM and it cost him $30 for SSBM. One thing I noticed is that his copy along with all the others at Best Buy no longer have the Player's Choice logo on them. They aren't the original either. They have that "Best Seller" logo on them like Mario Power Tennis. Do you think they took it off the player's choice list since it still sells at $30?

I've been waiting to get a copy of own of it for awhile, but can't justify spending $30 for a game that I've put hundreds of hours into already.

That's the normal price.

Does any retail store have this title for less than $19.99 regular price?

Not that I'm aware of...but it's worth the $20. There is such a thing as being too much of a cheapass...

CAG has taught me to be quite a cheapass, and it allows me to buy more games for the same money. A game has to be awfully good to warrant a full $20 retail price ($15 w/GGC). If I can purchase it for less than that, I will.

Super Smash Bros never dropped at any store to $20 last year when Nintendo announced all Players Choice titles were going to be $20. Instead they stopped shipping the Players Choice SSBMs and started sending regular ones with the best sellers logo on them. Rumor has it that in February Nintendo will announce more PC titles, and SSBM will finally become one along with Mario Party 4 and Final Fantasy:CC. This isn't definite and only a rumor though(its not from my source that broke the PC drops to $20 last year).

It's ok...it's not the greatest...think Lord of the Rings but you command a bunch of other whimpy guys.

I had it for awhile mostly cause I got it for free...it trade for $22 a while back at GR so I had no problem getting rid of it since I got a free copy from Microshaft.

I hate to ask but uhh....where'd you hear these rumors. Are they like from a site or from TRU or something like that. But this is great to know. Would love to pick up some other cheap GCN stuff like FF. Just wondering that's all.

SpyFiction for PS2 is down to $19.99 @ Gamestop

Under the Skin for PS2 is down to $19.99 @ Gamestop

And almost all the SEGA games that dropped recently (PSO3, Blood Will Tell, Amazing Island, etc.) are at $19.99 there too.

Hmm..that's a nice price on Under the Skin. Been meaning to pick that one up for a while. Anyone know if it is the same price at BB?

IMO its a very good game. Prolly gonna play some tonight.

I have some beefs with it; collision detection and AI. Nor do I see alot of people online playing.

Those beefs aside, I'd suggest it for 20 bones. But be warned its addicting.
