Was going through my email and my NothingButSoftware newsletter pointed out that they had Universe at War for $8.69! Holy cow, so I decided to check out amazon to compare and man same price. Its from NothingButSoftware but I bundling it with Supreme Commander Gold Edition since now I have a PC to play that one!:bouncy:

Yep, its been about this price for a while. I got it from NBS through Amazon a month or two ago. There was a thread on it but worth a bump.
 
Uh.

Why the hell is that signature so big? I mean, I believe it and all and am all for it, but dang. It's filling up my 22" widescreen =P

I actually enjoyed solo play on the game - just that they charged for freaking online play... do they still do it?
 
This game has a pretty decent solo campaign. Nothing amazing, but very competent. I'd say its a third tier RTS, with the top tier being games like CoH, supreme commander, WIC....the second tier being games like LOTR BFME, C&C3, ect, and the third tier being stuff like those star wars RTSs.
 
I enjoyed the campaigns as well, I have this for the 360 so it's great I could find it for about nothing for the PC. The games for windows live thing is free now so no you don't have to pay for online. I enjoy the variety of the units, being a big RTS gamer I just can't stand it when games use different skins to create different armies. Reminds me of Starcraft a lot, each side plays very differently. Sorry for the repost.

Yea it actually does a good job with the 360 controls but I would think it would be better to play on PC. I heard the PC version has waypoints and such.

Yeah, it was actually one of the better RTS utilizations of a pad, but that ain't saying much. I am far too use to playing on a K&M, anyway.

I finally got around to ordering a copy, it's really nice it has free shipping on Amazon even though it isn't sold by Amazon. Thanks OP.
 
Bump. It's on steam for 5 bucks now. It would have to be pretty bad to feel ripped off at that price.
