I figured we should have a thread for this as there seems to be some prices scattered around this site.

Here's what I got for some Xbox games on 6/20:

Mechassualt - $8
Blood Wake - $7
Time Splitters - $8
GTA 3/4 - $25
Indiana Jones- $3
Freedom Fighters- $8
Armed and Dang - $12
Riddick- $35

if i weren't about to go to sleep, I'd get on it too, but I have a feeling it won't matter anyway, no one near me probably cares about pn 03, so thats a plus for me as long as its in the 5-10 range.

Hmmm....EB B&M has it for 14.99 used....not really cheap enough....even with 10% off card there's tax...need to find it 9.99. Bestbuy closed out of it at $10 months ago so I don't know how likely it is. Everywhere I can find it online it's new for $20.

It's a gamecube game.

I think this one is going to be tough to locate at a good price. I think it was 9.99/4.99 clearanced at BB and CC a ways back and the price where you can find it seems to be $20 new / 15 used. Not worth buying to trade in.

Since they now have the trade one and get a new game for 29.99, I am going to trade in Fable and purchase Tales of symphonia and get $5 in credit.

Without reading 29 pages does anyone know what Glitch in the System for gamecube runs?

I actually bought this on release and just played it through about a month ago it was very good.

But now I am interested in the Paper Mario 2..

OK big warning here and I'm hoping it is a YMMV and the manager who I was dealing with is a B!atch. But she basically said I can only trade two copies of any single title ever. So the 2 per day is completely shot. Which sucked for me because I have a bunch of sports titles that I wanted to trade and now I'm stuck with them. At least at her store. I have sent an email to blockbuster asking them for the official word, and I swear if she is making up rules I'm going to complain to her district manager. :evil:

Unless this is a new policy she is probably making stuff up at her store. I highly doubt there's anything in the computer that would prevent more than 2 trade-ins of the same game. If they want to be jerks then can always pull up your trade history.....technically it states that they can always deny a trade at their disgression but I definately would email Blockbuster if she makes up a rule like that arbitreraly.

As for the games you are stuck with, try going back when she is not there I bet you won't have any problems trading them in. Also, did you ask this manager if you could come back and trade more copies of the game in, or did she mention it to you when you traded 2 copies of the same thing in. Because a lot of the time people will lie/bullshit you etc. try to discourage certain behavior. Better not to ask and let them try to stop you.
 
K here are a few PS2 games and what they're worth as of today.

Amplitude: $7
Arc the Lad: Twilight of the Spirit: $7
Rygar: $3
Summer Heat Beach Volleyball: $7
 
2 copies per title per account for eternity has been the policy for a month (thanks to the drake abusers)

you can get around this by going to other blockbusters if you are so inclined but you might want to be safe and just do one per store

I have a feeling this "policy" is not going to be too toughly enforced unless there is another drake situation. I've never had a GR employee go into my history in the store to see if I've traded the game before. But I do agree that one at a time might be better so as to not raise any alarms/piss anyone off.

On the trade in 2 of the same game policy. It's very YMMV because i trade in the same games all the time, ive traded in a bunch of CC games, mostly duplicates. As long as you just trade in 2 of the same per day, and no more. It seems all the workers know that rule. I also heard the workers can use their own judgement to accept trade-in's. It seems that manager just has something against you.

The trade in 2 per customer rule is absurd if you think about it. If you trade in a game, there gonna make a profit when they sale it back to the public. Why would they ban on the possiblity of making a profit, esp. if on a game they give you a crap buy back price, and good resell value for them. Think of EB or gamestop were to impose this rule, it would be really stupid on there part from a business standpoint.

Well the rule stands so people can't turn in 20 copies of a dog of a game and exploit the system. I highly doubt one of the gamerushes near me will make a profit on the 24 copies (literally, i counted :shock: ) of madden 2003 they have in stock as well as the 18 drakes they have. If the rule wasnt in place i'm sure they'd have even more. :lol:
 
anyone know if there are games that i can buy for cheaper, or nearly equal to the trade in value at gamerush?

I think in most cases GR employ the rules on a store by store basis. For instance, one store near me said no more drakes or be banned after i had traded 2 in a week apart. Another store said one a day was the max. No store i've been too had a max store copy allowance.

How much would i get for mechassault, wild arms 3, sonic 1 and 2 for dc, unreal 2 xb? and i called them and one of the employees told me it doesn't matter if it comes with a box or not nor instruction manual

Need for speed underground is supposed to drop to twenty dollars along with the Xbox version which is already a platinum hit. So I'd get rid of your copy ASAP!!

Anyone know how much they offer for a PS2, Hard Drive and the network adaptor? I want to know if I can get more than the price of the new PSTwo.
Also can someone give me prices on: Auto Modelista, Drakengard, SSX3, Kingdom Hearts, Gladius, Red Faction 2 and Ninja Gaiden?

Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes - $15
Splinter Cell (Xbox) - $10
Mechassault - $12
Spy Fiction - $25 (Surprised me. Bought this for $30 and didn't like it. Good enough for me.)

This is including the extra $5 for each game for trading in 3 or more.
