Since I had nothing to do I decided to compile an unofficial TRU YMMV Clearance list. The prices vary from store to store and usually drop every two weeks, kind of like Target.

Thanks for compiling the list!

Is Fire Emblem definitely part of it? I knew it was part of the KB clearance but I didn't hear it mentioned as being part of the TRU clearance.
 
Bloodrayne is on clearance for PS2 also. I went to a few TRU's and they had it all for at most $7.98

edit: also Maximo: Army of Zin, Resident Evil Veronica X, Magic Pengel, Crazy Taxi (for $4.98 YMMV)

I could have sworn it was on clearance for $10.98 or something but it was still retailed at $34.99 here :(
 
Thanks for the list. TRU has become my favorite place to shop for cheapass games lately and now I have more games to pester the cashiers to scan.

Jak and Daxter scanned off as $9.99 on Friday when I went Xmas Eve shopping... I didn't buy it at the time... I bought Maximo: AOZ (It scanned in at $9.99)... this TRU I went to (Augusta GA) had the little paper slips but the ENTIRE game section was damn near raped clean (at least of paper slips, the games behind the old school ticket exchange looked to be all there... I may go back this Friday and see what else I can find)... now if only there was a local GA TRU that has the games out on display in the theft cases AND had access to a price scanner, life would be truly complete... oh yeah:

Transformers (PS2): priced at $49, scanned for $29
Silent Hill 3 (PS2): priced at $29, scanned at $19

Mafia (Xbox . . . didn't see PS2) was $8.48 at my TRU (YMMV could be less at yours :))

Minus $5 from the "magic" coupon, it was $3.48 before tax :shock:
 
Hey, I don't live near a TRU so I do most of my shopping for games near me and that would be EB, GameStop, BB, CC, Target, and online. Every once in a while I am able to get to GameRush.
 
In the other TRU thread about the $10 off coupon, someone posted a word document with the upc scans for most of these games so you can check them with the store price scanner. Make checking prices easy for games that are kept behind the counter.
 
The thing that irritates me about TRU unadvertised clearances is that they have no price checkers in my store in the R-Zone.

Same with the TRU near me. They do have price checkers outside of the electronics area so I will use my printed upc sheet to figure out what is on clearance first and then get my games afterword.
 
does the coupon work from printing it out or do i need the original one out of the AD?

edit: also can i get the link to the bar codes for the clearnce games?

They didn't have Fire Emblem but had Advance Wars 2 for $20 and Sword of Mana for $35! So I was out of luck...

But they let combine $30 for any two games priced at $20 or less with the $10 off any two $20 game.

So I look around and don't see jack... The selection is terrible which I figured was due to the coupon before and now the 2 of $30 sale. And the prices weren't listed for most titles. It took me three tires but I did get a sweet deal out of it.

Xenosaga (non-GH) was $5.98 when it was scanned! So I went back got Pikmin (PC version) and Wario World (non PC version). Three great games for ~$28... Not bad.:whistle2:D
 
i used the $10 coupon for games, just got from TRU...it worked...got mario golf and soul calibur 2 for $20 total and got XIII which was 4.95 and hitman 2 which was 1.98 for free..i wanted to get more, but TRU was kinda a mess, couldnt tell what prices what games were
 
mafia for xbox was 7.48 at the tru i went to
i didnt see xenosaga though..they had some ps1 games, but had mlb 2005 for it listed at 45.00...i have a feeling they had alot of games stashed in the back, probably had to ask to get them...some of the workers kept bringing out games from the back w/ the plastic cases and put some in the green tag area..didnt see any good games though, alot of sports games from 2002 left
 
Thanks to that Word document and a price scanner, I got the following prices from the Tucker, GA location:

Wild Arms 3- $8
La Pucelle- $9.99
Disgaea-$14.99

They had Wild Arms and La Pucelle (already have both) but I didnt see any Disgaea. i didnt buy anything yet though... i may tomorrow or Wednesday (my birthday)
 
Well my TRU was completely picked over, to the point where the Gamecube section was almost barren. What's interesting was that the cashier told me any games without the green tags were not 50 or 70% off and were regularly priced, no matter what the system said. I brought up Manhunt and Tenchu, which were green tagged about two weeks ago but now had the green tags taken off.

I was able to pick up Unreal Championship for 6 bucks though.
 
A few of the Chicago area TRUs have a stand of $15 games that have a new value sticker on them... the only problem is that they don't have a new sticker over the bar code.

R Evolution Racing (PS2 & GC) and Kung Fu Chaos (Xbox) are priced at $15 and then the green sticker clearance is taken off.

Also, green sticker games are now at 70% off!

Don't count on finding Disgaea. It probably got gone pretty quick when it dropped to 24.99.

Check to make sure it's the actual game, not display copies like mine had once. But if it's the actual game, you should be able to get it for $14.99 and the coupon will work with it.
 
Hell, pick one up for me if it's the actual game! You could get two copies for around $20... I'd be willing to pay for whatever you paid for an individual copy and shipping plus a little bit extra for your troubles.
 
Yeah, i'll have to check and see if there were actually any behind the counter. And the TRU closest to me wouldn't take the coupon because it was a photocopy :whistle2:( But I'll try at the other TRU.
 
I just got back from my local TRU in Norman, Oklahoma, and they're done with the $10 clearance deal. However, Sword of Mana is still listed at $13 bucks. That's pretty good, considering that deal at BB.com for $9.99 runs out of stock quite often, and with tax and shipping it'll be $13 anyways. Hope this helps someone.
 
I scored a $12.98 copy of La Pucelle at the Woodbridge, NJ TRU. I couldn't find any other game worth pairing it up with (They did have Final Fantasy Tactics $15 green label but still rung up as $15, guy said they must have run out of regular labels...ummmm yah) so I just grabbed that.

Even though it's not a Green Tag game They still should have given it to you with the green tag discount :x I remember getting Silent Hill 3 with a green price tag at my TRU back in late Augest & they had to adjust the price cause it was off the Green Tag sale but they didn't bother to remark it with a regular orange/red tag at 19.99. I'm not sure but I'm willing to bet it's TRU policy to give you the break on their mistake & fix it afterwards if they have any more copies left in the store.
