READ THIS. Due to the high number of players in the tournament this time, there is a zero tolerance policy for not following directions.

I suggest you communicate with the people in your game via PM rather than in this thread (you are able to send PMs to more than one person at a time by putting a ; in between names)..

1. As before, it's YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to make sure you get together with the people in your game. If one person is not responding after several attempts or being a problem, PM me and I'll either replace him or just give the go-ahead to have a 3-man game. I strongly recommend adding the people in your game to your XBL friends list ASAP.

2. Anyone being a dick/constantly harassing other players are subject to removal. Anyone lying about the outcome of the game is eliminated (both from this and any possible future games). This is supposed to be fun, not a serious competition...prize or not.

3. KEEP IN MIND MOST WEEKDAY GAMES WILL PROBABLY HAVE TO BE AFTER 9 PM EST to accommodate our west coast (and beyond) CAGers who are just getting off work or whatever.

4. If you drop from the game, whether it's because you deliberately did it or it's your connection...sorry, you're out. However, games ARE joinable if there is a CPU player, so if your connection cuts out and you're booted, if your connection comes back right away you SHOULD be able to get back into the room. Dropping because you're losing or your connection going out for an half-hour and then requesting a rematch when it's back on is a no-no.

5. THE WINNER OF EACH GAME SHOULD PM ME with your game number/letter. This was a problem last time as many people forgot to do it. If it happens this time, YOU ARE SUBJECT TO REMOVAL, even if you won. So I don't recommend forgetting to PM me.

Will we be doing this again? Perhaps - but if we do, it'll be back to 32...like I feared, we just had too many no-shows this time. One thing I will do if there is a next time is reserve a spot for former champions (in which case there will be two when this is over) so they can defend their titles and perhaps BRING SOME PRESTIGE to the UnoMania championship. Yeah, sure. At this point, I'll be waiting for MS/Carbonated to release a new add-on deck before running another tournament. I'm assuming (or at least hoping) that once the 360 camera/Uno bundle comes out they'll release a new deck for it. Just don't expect the prizes to surpass the ones we had this time...at the most, they'll match them. As always, feedback is welcome.
 
Im in, hopefully ill be coming off a win in Darkside's tournament, whenever we actually have the final match...

I'll do what I can to keep people within an hour or so of each other. Obviously it won't work perfectly since a lot of people are on the east/west coasts, but an hour difference won't kill anything. There will be a few exceptions (ie, if Cheapy wants in from his lair in the Far East) but those are easy to work around if there are only a few. I usually try to place myself in a game with special circumstances like that so I know it gets played by the deadline.

"They?" I may be taller than 97% of humanity and weigh more than two middle schoolers combined, but I don't think I count as two.


I'll put it up once we see how many people we'll have. Probably around Saturday/Sunday.

Why not just all play at the same time, keeping CAG updated, and move from game to game for a couple hours until a winner is victorious?

Hell, you can fire up the CAG chat room and rock it live... its not like UNO requires serious control. I play it with the DVD remote.

I'd be more than happy to help out.

Also, how about everyone throw in $5 in a paypal account and first place gets something with 50% of the money, 2nd gets something with 30% and 3rd gets something with 20%.

Then just buy all the stuff on Amazon and ship it to the winners addresses... everyone chips in, and everyone gets a chance at cool stuff.
 
Edit: 360 purchased! I'm signing up as a normal entrant.

Pacific Time, unable to play on Wed, Fri, Sat, Sun nights. During the day is good for me on most days though.
