Unusual Xbox360 Failure " Or atleast I think"

BigD63

CAGiversary!
My brother was playing oblivion on the Xbox360 when all of a sudden the screen got really blurry and the colors got messed up. I thought it was just the tv because its pretty old, so I turned off the tv and turned it on again and the picture was still messed up. So I turned off both the Tv and the 360 for 30 minutes. I turned them both on again and after 10 minutes the screen got messed up again. So I turned off the 360 and when I turned it back on Nothing Showed up on the screen but I could hear sound. So then I tried the 360 on another tv and it still wouldn't show any picture. I also tried another AV cable and nothing showed up. I never got the RRoD though. Any Ideas :twoguns::360:

Edit:
My console got the RRoD and my request for free replacement is processing.

RRoD here you come!

I had the same problems with Graphical Glitches, then my 360 got the dreaded RRoD.

 Noooooooo if I get the RRoD That will be the second 360 thats died on me

Same exact thing happened to me 2 weeks ago... that shit is toast bro...

I had the Best Buy replacement plan, so I just brought it back for a new one...

Apparently on the 360 Coffins now, there is a box to check for No Video...

So if all the protection you have is the warranty, send out for yo' coffin.

Same here. Would freeze and sometimes make a loud sound from the speakers after 5-10 minutes into any game I played. This was back in December, and I just called the customer support (1-800-4MY-XBOX) and then told them.. They fied it for free. Just mention you have 3 red rings, even if you don't so that the repair is free.

Y'know how the video on the tv would get all noisy before someone died in the Poltergeist movies?

It's like that - but with the RRoD coming at the end.

I never actually got the RRoD, mainly cause I didn't feel the need to turn the system on after getting a black screen 10 times turning it on in a row... I should have let it run to get it just to get it.

I had the same issue with my second 360 before it died. Aleast my third one is going strong but I am sure once it reaches a yr old it will die just as the other two did.

That's exactly what happened to my 360 back in November, I was experiencing graphical glitches like messed up colors and the bottom of the screen was distorted. When I turned the console off and turned it back on, I got the E74 error.

Absolutely. It's over, guy. Might as well call Microsoft and have them send you a box early.

My fifth 360 went through the graphical glitches initially. It would mash the screen together (like when you had an SNES cartridge half out of the machine) and give me tons and tons of lines and odd skews of colors. Eventually, the machine screamed at me, scratched Shadowrun all to fuck, and I was on the phone with my favorite tech specialist, Manny.
Happened to me the very next time I turned on my first 360. It's DOA, man. I see a RROD in your future.
I'm calling an Error 78 (scaler chip 4th red light)
