Created in simple black-and-white line drawings (Sony boasted that the game offers "The least graphics and yet most gameplay" of any game ever made), the title looks to play much like the PSP's own Crush or the upcoming Portal. PixelJunk Racers Release Date: August* Cost: TBA Players: TBA Online: TBA

=Previews= "PixelJunk Racers is a "slot car simulator," and that's probably the most accurate way you could describe this title. For those of you who are unfamiliar with slot cars, we're referring to the small toy cars that are guided along a plastic track and are controlled by a separate trigger that increases or decreases acceleration. Well, Q-Games has hit this minimalist control scheme right on the nail, since you only have two ways to control your car: squeezing R2 or L2 adjusts your car's speed, while right and left on the D-Pad switches your car from one track to another (you can't do that with real slot cars, but we don't mind)."

"One of a series of game project by Q-Games, the team formed by Dylan Cuthbert (creator of Star Fox) and Kenkichi Shimooka (creator of Ape Escape.) Pixel Junk is a game distribution service by the Kyoto-based company (as well as a line of games likely bearing the Pixel Junk name), and the service promises to feature unique, casual game experiences delivered to PS3 owners via the PlayStation Network."

Release PSN Titles!!!

First one is Super Stardust HD.

"In the game you control a tiny spacecraft that hovers over planets. Your mission is simple: destroy everything in sight. The ship has three different weapons, each of which has a different impact on the various asteroids and ice crystals floating around. For example, while some weapons are able to break asteroids more effectively than others, they create far more debris as well. After blowing up enough asteroids and crystals, enemies appear -- once you eliminate those, you move onto the next phase. Each planet has five phases, with the last featuring a boss battle."

Piyotama (AKA "Chirpie Egg")- Offical Site

"While the game looks like a Bust-A-Move/Puzzle Bobble clone, it appears to have a much different control scheme. It still appears to stick to the 3-colored item rule for clearing out stacks of Tamago, freeing the Piyos within, however, making it look like solid fun."

Nucleaus

"For instance, Nucleus doesn't take place in outer space, but in "Inner Space" (no relation to the film, as far as we know). And instead of shooting aliens, you fight bacteria while swimming around blood cells and collecting proteins. Players control a "remote unit" which looks a bit like a sperm cell. It, ahem, squirts, shoots, and deploys protein bombs (once enough protein has been collected). To gain more protein, players need to shoot cells that release it."
they both look nice. hope they come out soon
They're only scheduled for European release right now, but regional releases never seem to be a problem for PS3 users, do they?

Hmmm, Nucleus is a difficult game, anything requires precise controlling can be frustrating... i don't mind difficult games in the past, but now, with tons of games to play, i like options, i.e. let there be an EASY mode.

All those games look incredible... I hope they play as well as they look. :)

Snakeball looks like a cross between air hockey and tron lightcycles.

Here's a few more for your list.

Sorry though you'll have to look up the details on them, I don't have time now.

These were all confirmed in this months issue of PSM, fyi.

Puzzle Fighter "very soon"!

If Bomberman Live this week isn't enough to get your multiplayer juices flowing, Capcom has the double whammy on tap; their online blog teases that Super Puzzle Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix -- enhanced with all-new artwork and tweaked gameplay -- is coming to the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade "very soon."

"We're wrapping it up now. It looks amazing, as you can imagine, from the new backgrounds and menus/UI, to all the new gem effects. I know I can't wait till it comes out. It got a ton of play at our E3 booth in the hotel ballroom booth (we also had a booth in the hangar)," said Capcom community man Brian Dunn.

Looks like office productivity's going to grind to a halt very soon, as well.

Is slated for "End of July".

I updated the thread a little bit. I'll be cleaning it up and adding a few more titles soon that I know aren't listed yet. Also I'll be adding more details that I find about amount of players, online support, release dates, and costs once I can.

Okay still "cleaning". :) I know of about... 3-5 more titles not listed there off the top of my head. Just making list to show people to look forward to, so if you want me to add those others let me know.

Yes, Nucleus is out....I have the trial on my PS3.

I just hope they do those trials for ALL the upcoming games. I might be interested in Bowling and PAIN, but I want to try before I buy.

LocoRoco comes out on September 21st.... ... .. . In Japan. :) The other info has been up but it is cool to see it is coming so soon. I played their demo even ebfore we got the US version so some people might be interested in grabbing it early too.

Not sure if this is the right thread, but when are they going to start releasing more PS1 games on the store? I'm somewhat tempted to get SotN, but I played the game 3 times already and am not at a point that I want to play it again (yes, even on my PSP).

I would absolutely LOVE to see a Tomba game or, the obvious, Final Fantasy come out. I would say MGS, but didn't that use L2 and R2 (an oversight that may cause issues I would think for the PSP).

There are a ton of great PS1 games that I would like to see come out, but it seems like it's a trickle compared to what Nintendo and XBox get every week.
