Just got the A-30 HDDVD player for Christmas. The player upconverts standard dvds to hd resolution, but it seems that every time I play a standard dvd, it gives me the message that high definition output for this title is disabled. What's going on here?--How do I fix this?
I'm connected via component...just trying to upconvert to 720p. The instructions state that it will upconvert to 720p or 1080i via component...
EDIT: OK, I just answered my own question about the upconversion via component...and it can't happen on copy-protected discs. I have an older HDTV that has a DVI input, my question now is, can I view upconverted DVDs in 720p/1080i via HDMI to DVI conversion?
