Damn, nice deal...wish I could justify buying another game right now...This is one of the titles I have had earmarked as must own for quite awhile.

if you haven't bought the other XBOX light gun game "House of the Dead 3", wait till 2/18/04 because it is being re-released at a new low price of $19.99. Not sure if it's going to be a platinum hit, but it will be only $20 new, online and instores and perhaps $15ggc@BB. Smart move by Sega milking the release of XB Silent Scope.

I bought it pre-owned at Gamefly for $20 a few weeks ago. $2 shipping or so... I think they raised the price to $25 over there, but $27 total for this game is not a bad deal. It's a great game.
 
Yeah, I got one also........The e-mail states that they might get it in over the next 30 days. I'll wait. If I see it cheaper anywhere else, I'll just cancel the order.

yeah i know. but when i ordered it two days ago it said "shipped same day". so apparently that means backordered as well now...
 
I got a confirmation email when it said "shipped same day". I would recommend cancelling your order ONLY if you find it somewhere else. Demand for this game will only increase now that Otogi 2 is coming out this year. Perhaps it sold well enough to become a platinum hit. here's more info:

My Fry has TONS of Otogi for 19.99
I would have bought it if they have less stocks... but the amount they have is scary (I think there were more than 50 of them) making it so "unrare" so I don't feel like buying it.
 
perhaps that's good news for people placing backorders. if Fry's can't sell them in-store they may fill online orders via outpost. don't buy it because it's "rare" or "unrare", buy it because it's good and you feel like playing it. this game sells for $25-$35+ used elsewhere. maybe it's going to become a platinum hit since part 2 is due out this year.
 
pete2010, where did you hear this? seems counterproductive when many stores still have new copies left, plenty in fact but still at higher prices. I think there's a better chance that they'll make it a platinum or re-issue it. perhaps the rumor you heard was regarding CRIMSON SEA. Part 1 was XBOX exclusive and for some strange reason Part 2 will be a PS2 exclusive coming out this year. maybe they'll include #1&#2 together for PS2. It's a great game for XBOX and sometimes if you're lucky TRU online/instores may drop it to $15. plus it looks great in your xbox collection to have Crimson Sea & Crimson Skies next to each other.
