As some of you may already know... I'm working with this crew now and we're gearing up for the next Free Event on Tuesday the 27th in NYC.

http://game.newyork-tokyo.com/

Check the above link for more details. There will be free stuff there, some t-shirts and posters... maybe a few lucky people will go home with a copy of Sudeki.

We're also gonna be running some sleepers that haven't gotten the attention they deserve...

The music is going to be great too... you haven't seen it all until you see these guys play their sets on the old school Game Boys... amazing.

I urge anyone with their night clear to come on out and meet-up with some other CAGers in person... after all... it is free.

The event is for all ages, so no worries if you're just under booze-level. All are welcome.

I hope to see you all there!

(Mods please leave here for now in off toplic as per go ahead from the big CheapyD. Thanks!)

I think I can squeeze this into my agenda. Keep your eyes peeled for me. I'll be the big, burly, intimidating looking guy with a voluptuous red head on my arm.

son of a bitch! that would have been a hot thing to do for my 21st birthday, but i have a mf'ing midterm that night! dammit!

I'm pretty sure we'll have some sort of contest on the spot for the actual game...
make no mistake on that... cuz i can't be promising free video games to everyone...
one thing i can promise though... i'd never forget a name like that. snotknocker from jersey. see you there.

I stickied this for maximum exposure.
Its my pleasure to help promote (free) local game-related events like this...good stuff!
I'll be putting up an "ad" on the front page (to temporarily replace the Google ad block) shortly.

Hopefully, I'll get to meet some of you next Tuesday.
You gotta be 18 right?

Which sucks for me, as I could even easily get there.
no dude... all ages are welcome.

hope to see you there!

fuck YEA!!!!

Shit, I will try my best to be there. Stupid parents probably won't let me, but Ill try.
Any dress code? Sneakers?
thankfully... unlike the old Posh Tribeca Grand of the last event...
sneakers shorts and CAG t-shirts will be more than welcome.

all are welcome. no dress code.

shaq-fu YEA!!!!

Chaperone fees start as low as 1 sealed game.

I'm in Miami. Stupid cubans wouldn't run something like this unless there was salsa, cafe, and domino's involved.

you know, if they had something like that around here i would go, which is quite a statement because i don't go anywhere. i could even overlook how techno the whole thing looks.

it would probably be pretty fun.
it would probably be pretty fun.
sorry you can't make it all the way here... though we are working our hardest to make sure the above is an understatement.

owned.
Dang, Austin is a bit far to go...oh well. I still have QuakeCon.
I plan on going in two years. gonna move back to Texas first.

So... like i was saying before... no promises to anyone in particular for free games...

But i did get a heads up on quite few freebies at large.... (30+)....

So please do not beg for a free copy here... but do know that I am confirming free games AT RANDOM.

:) :)

For anyone who needs transit directions, you can take:

-C or E to 23rd St. Walk down two blocks. Be aware that after 11 pm, there'll be no C trains running.
-L to 8th Ave. You'll be on 14th St., so mosey on over to 21st.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Sure are right. Thanks for the directions... one thing that definately needed to be taken care of.

If the C or E aren't on you're route... i can also suggest:

- taking the PATH train in from Jersey to the 23rd and 6th Ave stop in front of Best Buy and walking over...

- that same station also has the F anf V train if thats for you...

- closer would be the 1 and the 9 train at 23rd St and 7th Ave and walking over...

- or even the N and the R to 23rd St and 5th Ave (not closer) at the FlatIron and walking over.

- OR if you don't mind an even healthier walk... you might even want to try the 6 train at 23rd and Park Ave and walking all the way over if you're intent on not missing the event.

Schwing, hope to see ya there.
Its a yukatta, not a kimono.
Now who's owned?
;)
Isn't a yukatta what the sumos wear? Or is it more a general, formal attire for anyone?

And the answer to your question is bullettime

Arrgh, I'm not 16 yet, so I can't drive there. Well, I hope you guys have a lot of fun. Are there gonna be any chicks there?

Arrgh again!!!
sorry man.... i'll tell the chicks you said hi.
Thanks man. Tell them I am single and my phone number is... :D

Are there gonna be any chicks there?
for certain.
Betcha they're there with other guys tho!

So anyways....
i have noticed Sudeki reviews dripping in a bit mediocre...

i agree... the story isnt spectacular... and the voice acting is hardly acting... but the combat.... my god the combat. its a lot of fun just going at it..... i love a great RPG... but sometimes i need to just chill out and plow through.... the more i play it... the easier the feeling gets with knowing it'll be featured at this event... i think its action heavy enough to keep the crowd entertained....

and i don't think they'd mind a free copy either.
wow sounds great. Man why does it have to be from 8pm to 12am. Hope I can be there...
well it is a Nite Groove....

i hope you can be there too!

just wanted to update you guys on the free stuff situation...

you didnt hear it from me... but.... lol...

there WILL be.... in fact...

at least 10 free games randomly given away every hour during the free event. 9pm, 10pm, 11pm 12am.....

best of luck! again.. hope to see you there!

Wow, this sounds good.

Never been to a gaming event before. I might go to this, if I have the time. But I'm definitely going to try. 8)

I'll probably go.. last time I screwed up and couldn't make it at the last minute for stupid reasons which will go undescribed, but they are so stupid that they deserve to be unknown.

Hopefully, it'll be worth it, and not yet another one of my depressing city excursions that end up being far more trouble to go through than ends up being worth.... hopefully. ;) I wonder if I'll make it through the whole 4 hours.
Will there be "drinks"?

My evil twin needs to know.

-Morpheus
Would you still come if there won't be?

That's still in the air... :(
