UPDATE: PS Vita 32gb memory card $81.58 shipped by Amazon

It is $81.58 from Amazon for those that don't like using a 3rd party, eligible for free shipping and 2-day prime. It is slowly creeping down in price.
 
That's still so stinkin' high. These high memory prices Sony is gouging people with will turn off people from buying a Vita or keep them from buying many downloadable games. I bought an 8Gb card, but you can bet your @ss I'm not buying any download games that are 4-5Gb. Sony is so stupid and greedy at the same time.

How can this possibly be a deal. I'm not buying a Vita until their memory prices are on par with microSD prices. If that's never, then so be it. I'm tired of Sony's money grabbing.

You'll buy it and you will like it young man. When I was your age I had to walk in the snow, uphill, both ways just to get a 5 1/4 floppy disc for $3,987.00!
 
I do remember paying $70-80 for a 1GB SD card 6 years ago. These memory cards basically add $2-3/unit to the purchase of digital games.
 
It's not the price of the memory Sony is charging, it's the price in comparison to similar memory cards. You can get a 32GB SD or microSD card for $20-$30 bucks. Paying $80-$100 for a Vita 32GB card is insane. I could see it maybe being a little higher, but 3-4x the price is just plain price gouging. The Vita is selling very poorly as it is, so a good place to start trying to get sales moving would be to drop memory prices to a acceptable level. Or at least they should include a card with the stinkin' system you pay $250-$300 for.
 
If sony gets their head out of their own ass and finally bring down the price of these memory cards you best believe i will buy a vita and a couple games. If it never happens then no biggie , will not buy.

This is $20 off so it's a deal, and nobody cares whether you purchase a Vita or not.

I refuse to buy one until they are the same price as a normal 32gb SD card ($50), as they are the same damn thing.

The term "deal" is subjective. Just because something says "$x off" doesnt make it a deal. Retailers purposefully raise the MSRP only to say "20% off" to fool suckers into thinking theyre getting a good deal.

Your way of thinking is exactly what's wrong with retail America.

A couple of months ago, IIRC. It was more of a price mistake on Amazon than an actual sale, though, but the $40 price ended up being honored for those few lucky bastards. :bouncy:

How does that even apply here? Amazon (retailer) did not set the MSRP, that was set by Sony ( manufacturer).

AFAIK when you transfer cards, you will loose your layout settings. So maybe take a screenshot of your icon placements etc if you want to re do those again. I had to do it from memory and it sucked :/

Yeah same here, it was annoying, but not a deal breaker considering the bubbles aren't gone, just need to be re-layed out
