Figuired last thread was pretty fragmented and didn't have a Master List so i slapped one togethor.

Most of the credit goes to Kirin Lemon for pointing out how to use the kiosk in store to get these prices.

IN ORDER TO SEE THESE PRICES YOU MUST USE A KIOSK OR COMPUTER INSIDE BESTBUY!!!! Some of these prices will show up on the website normally but not all of em.

Some of the titles appear to be on sale and are around $1-3 cheaper then listed. I've marked those titles with the words ON SALE in bold next to price. No idea how long the sale will last. All the items on sale can be ordered from the website out of store at sale price.

I also added a few new items I found and they are marked with a NEW next to price. If I have time on friday I plan to browse store kiosk and check for some more. If anyone is going to a best buy today can you please check the On Sale items in store and see if the price is different from normal? If not i'll check em tomorow if i have time.

I saw the third Gundam Seed movie for $12 at Best Buy (I can't confirm it online, but I recall seeing this price in store). However, you can order the movie trilogy for $23 at dvdpacific.com.
 
ya has anyone checked the prices recently to see if there were any more drops? would greatly appreciate if someone would :whistle2:D i would but there's unfortunatley no BB near where i live up here in the middle-of-no-where-college-town :(

If you have a series on mind, post it and I'll give it a lookup for when I go to BB this weekend. Otherwise, I'll be sure to look out for new updates should I catch or discover any.
 
I can confirm that all of Zeta Gundam is $12 per volume at Best Buy. Only the first three volumes are on sale via the website, while all of them are on sale via the instore kiosk.

I keep getting mixed reports but apparently that boxset has Dubtitles(or a very accurate dub that follows the script word for word) while the indivdual volumes have the correct subs.

I keep hearing about this issue, but I can't find any word of it outside these forums. I tried google, but to little avail.

However, that box set is truly nice. I'm watching the dub version (which is pretty good) and the subs are awfully close to what the dub version is.
 
The Zeta set is definitely dubtitles. From the scant bit of Japanese I've picked up, I could hear chunks of dialoge that didn't match the subtitles.
It's still a great deal for the price.

Picked up Chevalier D'Eon today for $10. It is of an immensely impressive quality level. Hope they clearence out the future volumes as well! Can't imagine too many anime heads rushing to this Frenchie-style title.
 
Best Buy supposedly has .hack//roots V1 w/ box & lots of extras for $14.99. I'll have to check it out tomorrow to see if its true.

I doubt that as its not even out on dvd yet. Comes out April 17th. Surprised no one on dvd talk picked that up. Still I might swing by my bestbuy today and check some more random dvds on the kiosk.

I pulled it from WTK @ DVDtalk, who saw it posted on AOD. Best Buy releases most anime a week or more early depending on the licenser, so it wouldnt surprise me if this happened. However the $14.99 price would be a huge surprise. I wont be able to check til my lunch break, hopefully they have some left.

My local Best Buys are known to put anime out a week early and sometimes two weeks early. Speaking of early releases (Suncoast, B&M), the oddest one that I have seen recently would be Tekkaman Blade Collection 2. I saw this release out on the shelves 2+ months before its intended release date!
 
I saw the regular edition of .hack//Roots at my BB this past weekend. They didn't have any ltd. edition ones, but If they had 2 different release dates, that would make sense that I didn't see any.
 
I just ran into a MAJOR problem. BestBuy sent the dvds to my old address, even though I edited my address to my new residence while placing the order. It says on the UPS tracking page that it was already delivered. E-mailed bestbuy last night and asked them what the hell they were thinking. This isn't going to be fun...

This deal is confirmed! Only select Best Buy stores will be stocking this release (3 or 4 copies at most). This can be ordered via the Best Buy computer kiosk as well!
 
Though this is not an anime, but worth mentioning. Cutie Honey: The Movie (Live-Action) LE w/Lunchbox: $16.99 @ Best Buy (B&M). Just like the .hack//Roots, Vol.1+Artbox, only select Best Buy stores will be stocking this release. This can be ordered from the Best Buy computer kiosks as well!

FYI, there is a good chance that both releases (.hack//Roots & Cutie Honey) won't be placed out on the shelves until next Tuesday.
 
Thanks for the info. I'll have to try and check my best buy later. My BF loves the .hack series so he'd like it if I picked it up for him. :)
 
I placed an order for the .hack//Roots V.1 LE in their in-store kiosk yesterday. The in-store price was $14.99 with the SRP listed at $59.9x so it wasn't like they made a mistake with the solicited price. The regular one showed up at $19.99.

I didn't want to take any chances in case they didn't get any in or they are simply sold out due to the crazy price, or they up the price too soon.
 
Mine shipped the day after i ordered it. If its already been shipped, theyre not gonna waste their time tracking down the package and getting it canceled. I doubt they'd get the customers hopes up about it shipping, then cancel the package. They prefer to screw their customers in-store.
 
I meant catch the mistake and change the price online. Any orders shipped won't be cancelled. Way to much work and its sorta illegal once they have charged you.

I got my set in from Rightstuf the order day (Course I paid more, but that's how it goes when you pre-order sometimes), and the box is pretty nice. It's got the pop-off lid a lot of boxes these days are getting, and that picture of the lead dude in the hexagon is an embedded, metallic piece.

Far more nice than the soundtrack case, which is one of those paper-folder-with-glued-on-disc-holder jobs. Ah well.
 
Well i think BB fixed the price for .hack roots. I went there today and checked the koisk and it was $45. Guess I missed out :( I should have ordered it at kiosk the first time I saw it mentioned on the forum. Damn

No clue. You're better off buying it from Right Stuf/DeepDiscount/Buy.com at this point when they've got it on sale.
 
Mine was shipped out over the weekend (of course, it wasn't picked up by UPS until today). I really hope they used a sturdy box to ship it. Otherwise I would be pissed if it arrives crushed or dented.
