Thanks TSD. I'll presume The Italian Job and The Manchurian Candidate are the remakes. Sorry to not see any video games. Boooooo Target.

Can't wait to see what CC has to offer. They have been on a roll lately.

No VG ads? They're slipping, bleaugh. This week's ad kind of sucked for media, too.

Thanks for the early posting, Successful Dropout!

Thanks TSD, looks like my wallet is taking a rest next week as for once there is a big fat NOTHING for me. Thank god for that, as September 6th is just going to kill my wallet (Lost Season 1 and Millennium Season 3). Therefore, I need a few breaks before that. :D

Everywhere I've gone, I've heard that from so many people. September 6 is a huge day for DVD releases. I just know of a few things that are supposed to come out. Do you happen to know what's coming out that day?

Looks like just the Constantine Deluxe Edition for me. Thanks for posting the ads! :)

Thanks for the updates, TSD. It's weird how BB is the only company that's advertising the 2-disc deluxe edition of Constantine. Target doesn't seem to acknowledge even the 1-disc version.

Is the deluxe version basically the 1-disc plus some extra special features? Both versions contain the theatrical cut of the movie, right? Anyone know?

According to Amazon.com:

Deluxe Edition

# Disc One: The Movie
# Commentary by director Francis Lawrence, producer Akiva Goldsman, and sreenwriters Kevin Brodbin and Frank Cappello
# A Perfect Circle music video: "Passive"
# Theatrical trailers

# Disc Two: Special Features
# 18 Minutes of deleted scenes, including alternate ending
# Conjuring Constantine
# The Production from Hell documentary gallery: director's confessional, collision with evil, holy relices
# Imagining the Underworld documentary gallery: Hellscape, visualizing vermin, warrior wings, unholy abduction
# Constantine Cosmology
# Foresight: the Power of Previsualization
# Exclusive collectible Hellblazer comic book featuring a reprint of issue #41 Dangerous Habits and a Hellblazer short story

However, for the 1 disc version they have the 18 minutes of deleted scenes listed as a special feature. I don't think this is the case.

I do think that both versions have the theatrical cut on them. However, I'm really interested in the Deluxe Edition because I really enjoyed the book and the movie, and this version restores a lot of scenes that were in the book and that should have made it into the movie.

If I PM a DVD for a lower price at BB but it has the "w/ extra 15,000 RZ points" promotion, do I still get those bonus points?
Constantine at 14.99 at CC then... is that the deluxe version?
I wish! :)

CC's website has it listed for $22.99, which is a good deal. However, it most likely won't be the same in-store.

Or there's a Constantine (1 disc) / Blade double-pack at CC for the low, low price of $35! What a terrific deal... not!

Naw, it's probably the single disc version, which retails for 19.99. The deluxe retails for 29.99, I believe.

Single disc. I don't have a clue as to what the Deluxe will be going for, I am assuming there will be a sale price on it (just unadvertised).

Does the deluxe version have some kind of extended version of the movie, or do both versions have the same cut, just the deluxe has alot more extra features?

Going by your post before, I'm unsure if the deluxe just has deleted scenes, or if they integrate them back into the movie.

Should be the latter, Roufuss, with the deluxe version containing the same cut and more extra features. And thanks for the info, Saucy Jack.

I've heard conflicting reports about the deluxe version. Warner doesn't seem to do many DVDs with branching options, so I'm betting that it will be the same cut, with more extra features on the deluxe version.

It'll work best that way, anyway, since some people's DVD players choke on DVDs with branching options, regardless of whether they are being used or not.

Does anyone know what the Bad News Bears listed in Best Buy's ad is? I'm pretty sure the original retails for $9.99, and Amazon has no information on a new release. A three-pack is supposed to come out in August, but that's it.

It could be a misprint. Currently, Best Buy's website has Bad News Bears for $6.99, while the ad states $16.99. Maybe they meant $6.99?

Also, they have Breaking Training for $8.99 and Japan for $7.99.

Hmm nothing for me this week. Which is really a good thing since I'm low on cash. I thought Constantine sucked when I saw it in theaters so I won't bother with that.

best buy website currently has the single disc version at 16.99 and the deluxe at 24.99. Dont think those are the sale prices. I would expect at least $1 or $2 off the single disc version and $2-3 off the deluxe.

I may just wait until the deluxe version drops in price. My self-imposed threshold is to not pay more than $17.99 for new release DVDs (excluding bos sets or tv shows).

I figured it was probably a misprint, but with the remake coming out soon, who knows. And as much as I hate to admit it, the new one actually looks decent--the original is by far my favorite sports movie, so hopefully it isn't completely disgraced.

Anyone know if Godfather I and II ever drop lower than $9.99.. say to like $7? Or is that just very unlikely.. if so, then I'll probably pick up them up..

Thanks for the ads TSD. Nice price on Usual Suspects. May have to look into gettin that one and maybe Jackie Brown. Collateral is probably also going to get bought. Circuit City has been really good to us. Not a bad price for Dead Like Me s2, but I'll wait for the next DDD sale on that one.

$9.99 or $12.99 seems to be the regular price for those. I don't think that they'll drop any more. You might want to check your local Wal-Mart. I remember seeing part 1 in the $5.xx bin once or twice.

I'd recommend just picking up the collection box set. I think it goes for the about the same price $30-35 range, plus it comes with a great box. If memory serves me right, the box is akin to the one that came with the Scarface Box set which just rocks IMO.

It's a small box with several digipaks in it. It's also got a bonus disc with a lot of stuff on it.

You've also got to catch it on sale to get it at that price, it usually sells for around $50.

I only planned on getting the first two, but I'll consider getting the box set. It depends on the price. Anyone know how low the box set drops?

I don't recall ever seeing it below $35.
