Upgrading PS3 Hard Drive

Well we talking a $20 dollar difference for a 250GB upgrade. Honestly, I have a 500GB HDD and is not maxed out. Unless you downloading a lot of full games I don't think you need all that space. Since PS3 is near its end cycle it seems like a poor investment. If you have the money to burn then go for it.

Thanks so much guys! I'm not at all set on a Scorpio. I'll look at the pricing for 500 GB ones as well, I'm not deadset on 750GB or higher, and I don't buy hardly any full PSN games, but I do get a lot from PS+.

I don't buy any drives save WD Scorpio drives unless there's a specific reason why it would have to be something else, such as matching for RAID requirements.

I've had four Scorpio Black drives running in my HTPC for 3+ years with no issues and my CECH-3001 PS3 has a 750GB Scorpio Black in it without any issues since the later part of 2012.

I would go with a Scorpio drive over any other vendor all the time, without any question.

Appreciate the input. More than likely it will either be a 500gb or 750gb Scorpio. I have a $21 trade in gift card coming from Amazon, so I'm waiting til that hits my account before I buy one.
