CAGiversary!
Hola CAGers. I was wondering if anyone on here has experience upgrading their PS3's hard drive. I've been doing my research on upgrading and the process looks surprisingly easy.
I do have a few concerns though. Some people have problems with their PS3's skipping at certain times after they upgrade. If I was going to upgrade I'd probably go for a 500 GB HD. But from what I've read, the bigger the HD, the more likely PS3 skipping will occur.
Probably not as important, the two options are 5400 and 7200RPM. 7200RPM hard drives seem to show some increase in speed over 5400 but supposedly run hotter as well, increasing the tendency for PS3s to overheat.
I'm basically looking for reassurances from those of you who've upgraded. (And to get a little knowledge about the HD you chose) I don't want to go through the whole process and learn that I was better off leaving my PS3 as is.
Thanks All
