bought something from a CAG recently this was from Amazon 2-day shipping, never had this issue with UPS 2 day shipping before. I'm still waiting for the CAG to reply to my message

You have to contact UPS. Only they know where the package was dropped off and it could have possibly gotten delivered to the wrong address. Things happen so contact UPS first.

If your address is like mine, it's very similar to another street by me, and they sometimes deliver it to the wrong address, in which case you need to call them up so they can contact the driver who delivered the package.

Other than that, it may have been stolen.

I had this happen to me once from Newegg. It said it was delivered, but it didn't arrived until the next day. I would say wait a day & if it hasn't arrived the next way, then contact them.

I just contacted ups and it's an automated system, anyways I gave them the tracking number, it says that this has been delivered to the wrong address! First time I had this happen actually.

How do I contact them when all they give me an automated UPS line?

At every prompt, press "0" and eventually you'll get an actual operator... assuming they're still open.

And just a heads up, unless their tracking specially says there's an issue, they won't do squat. Lost packages are the responsibility of the sender, not the intermediary which is fucking stupid but that's the way it is.

I just contacted UPS and they told me Amazon addressed the package to the wrong address wtf?

The CAG even showed me proof that my address was correct through Amazon's invoice

u can bypass the automated message by repeatedly saying "representative"
and u will immediately speak to a cs rep. did u tell the rep that the address shown on the amz invoice is correct?

To clarify, this is for you. You receive proof of shipment with your address, you probably should have verified everything was right.
while I know this is a FAIL from me I paid this guy with paypal so My address should've been there...-___-
The best thing to do now is just consider this a mistake and move on. I'd go down to the house (with some ID and proof of the mistake) and get the package though. They might try to claim that they returned it or something if you wait too long.

I second that. Just tell the seller about the mistake and how you'll fix it so everyone is ok. Hey, at least the CAG didn't try to scam you or anything. Human mistake. It's frustrating but what the hell? Just be happy you have your package! :bouncy::bouncy::bouncy:

Quite frankly, if you know exactly where it is, I'm not sure why you'd need to ask us what to do. Just go get it.

Okay, so I have no idea why this deserved its own thread but I might as well comment on it because ~I am the CAG in question~

I am not the one to input the wrong information into Amazon's shipping fields.

CaoPi sent me the wrong address to begin with, and that is what I copied into Amazon for the shipping address.

I have picture proof of the PMs with the wrong shipping address in them. If you call bullshit on doctoring the images, I also have FRAPS and can document in a video or a livestream that the messages appear as they are in my Inbox.

Also, if mods/Cheapy or whoever else can and wants to go through my PMs, that's fine too.

There is no address located in PayPal (although he did mention to me that he has a confirmed address there) as the $40 for Agarest was not sent as a "purchase of goods" on PayPal, which means I can't see his address on file.

I would have copied that if I had another address.

I'm not posting anything in this thread because it contains CaoPi's personal information, but the situation he's trying to paint is skewed.

ADDENDUM: This really sucks, because (CaoPi) you are a a longtime CAG and a recognized person on the forum, but please don't spam my inbox and rage at me (when I am in class). I have been trying to work with you to resolve this issue however I can.

I never said anything about altering any of the images. And again I'm not sure what is wrong with paypal. My address should've been verified as I'm a regular purchaser on half/ebay

While it sounds like I'm flooding the PM box, I'm only trying resolve this issue

One time FedEx tried to deliver a package but I wasn't home to sign for it, which meant they'd simply come back the next day. However, the delivery guy didn't leave a "missed you" note and it was marked as delivered, so I thought it had been stolen or shipped to the wrong address (because they gave me a recycled tracking number). Really pissed me off with all the hoops I had to jump through thinking it had either been stolen or delivered to the wrong place, and then they delivered it the next day.

That's what I initially thought when CaoPi PM'ed me about it because it's happened to me multiple times in the past, but it doesn't look like it's the case this time around.

We're both hoping that lady who lives at the wrong address is kind enough (not a greedy/lying bitch) to give him the package.

When you sent the money, did you pick a 'sending money' option, or a 'buying crap' option? If paypal didn't know you were giving this person money due to a purchase, they wouldn't have provided an address (he wouldn't need to know if you're just giving him $40, after all.)

What confuses me is why you're asking if you should go check with the house it went to. Of COURSE you should! That would've been the first thing I did! Hopefully they still have it and give it you. In all likelyhood, she marked it 'return to sender'/'not at this adress' and you'll have to annoy the crap out of the post office until it turns up somewhere.
Just wondering, but did you send the Paypal payment as a Purchase, or Gift? If you sent it Gift, it doesn't show address.
Prinny said to send it as a gift so it was a gift so I paid a little extra. Although I thought personal payments were now prohibited?

Also my credit card information on my account info matches my address does this mean I'm a verified member?

Anyway everything is now resolved for this issue, this is actually the 1st transaction on CAG where I have inputted a typo on my address. I just showed up with my license and the elderly man glady gave me my package.

Payments for purchase transactions are not allowed to be "Gift" payments. PayPal doesn't get any % of the payment on a gift which defeats the purpose of PayPal as a service. They charge a fee to make their money and they transfer gifts fee free as a service for their customers.

I've read several stories of people who use gift payments as purchase payment options and eventually the account will get locked and it can take up to like 6 months to get money released from a locked account.

I wouldn't necessarily call this a purchase 'from me' in this instance.

It was us taking advantage of the Amazon B2G1 by ordering 3 items, shipping to multiple addresses and splitting the cost.

Obviously, it gets down to semantics at some point but I'm well aware of the "risks" associated with gifting. I do already pay a stupid amount of eBay fees, so it's not like I'm trying to circumvent the entire process.

There's always the option of Amazon Payments.

Regardless, I'm glad this whole ordeal has been sorted out. Moving on.

Looks like CaoPi is just a little girl blaming this other person for his own mistake. What a moron. I'm glad he made himself out to be the idiot in the end though as he tried to make the other CAG the bad guy.

Amazon has now limited to everything of 2 I assume? This is to prevent flippers of course, you can always order 2 then another across a platform

Prinny you can always take check or money order to avoid fees in the process of paypal

Also To my knowledge only paypal gives you protection over ebay goods

got something from fed ex it's in town but says not due for delivery estimated date is the 18th. will they keep it in storage untill then? it would be nice to get my stufff early.

It likely just arrived in the local sorting facility today. It still needs to be unloaded, sorted, and placed on the correct truck. Since UPS and Fed Ex only do Saturday deliveries if you pay extra, you're stuck until Monday.

And everyone learns valuable information- always double-check your info when money is involved, understand the policies of the websites handling your financial info, and your neighbors are probably nice people.

I really wish I had that 'the more you know' screencap right now.

I actually did ask Prinny to confirm my address but he PM'd with a message saying it was shipped out already in the reply. What is good about amazon is that you can always request cancellation, change payment method or even change delivery address within those few hours if you have prime

It would have only been a $40 loss, but like we said everything is resolved now.
