I thought MS said that all USB based MP3 players will work with the Xbox360?

I have a Creative Nomad Zen XTRA and the Xbox doesn't recognize it. Any ideas?

I'm having a sort of similar problem, except that a lot of the songs show up with a red slash next to their names, and won't play. Any suggestions/help?

Might be helpful for others to know what player it is on.

I am curious to hear if anyone has gotten the Zen XTRA's (or any other Zen) working with it.

dunno, but my ipod works flawlessly. Dont see how Creative's wouldnt owrk. Esp since they're on the plays for sure campaign with microsoft.

i have the creative nomad xen xtra and it could be because you have to install that stupid software before you use it on pc, so maybe something with that.

I've got a Rio Karma and the "USB MP3 player" option doesn't even light up when I plug it in. tre shitty :\

Well, that is very lame that MS couldn't be bothered to load some f'ing drivers for it.

Just plug it into your PC then and use Windows Connect (assuming you have a router)

I bet eventually they MIGHT have some drivers....oh well. I have a PSP, but yet to try it....I like using my PC Connect

I only need to use my MP3 player for when I am not using my system at home. I already use Windows Connect to share my mp3 library. Thanks anyway for the suggestion.

in the manual, it says there's a list of 3rd party devices that will connect to the 360 at www.xbox.com/media, but I can't find it.

seems odd that 2 popular mp3 players wouldn't hook up with it.
