I know this isn't probably the best place to ask but I'm not a member of any computer forums. I have a new ipod touch coming next week and it has wifi. I don't have wifi, I'm all wired.

My question is, can I use one of those USB wireless adapters backwards and turn my hard wired internet into a wifi connect spot for my ipod to use?

If not any other ideas other then going completely wireless?

Thanks much.

I don't want to get a wireless router because wired is working for me fine. Wireless can drop out and sometimes play online games. Those are the big 2.

FYI, wireless routers do have wired ports. If you plug in your console or computer into the wired port you wont have to worry about it dropping out. With this setup you can still go online with your iPod. Or you can set up ICS on your computer with a wifi card/adapter. You can sometimes find deals on wireless routers that are cheaper than a usb wifi adapter.
