CAGiversary!
At EBgames today in Huntington, WV I bought a new copy of Zoo Keeper for the DS. It took the clerk a while to find the cart to put in the display box, and when he did he went behind his coworker, and I could see that he was picking something off the cart and flicking it off. Well it turned out that there was some kind of sticker on the backside of the cart and there was sticker residue all over it, I gave it back to him and asked him if he was trying to sell me a preplayed game new and he said no, I asked for another copy and he said they all had that sticker on them so they could keep track of them. Do they really do that?

No, the only instance when a new game should even be outside of the case is if it was a display copy. Even then I doubt it would have any sticker on it.

I don't think ripped you off would be the right word here. 10 out of 10 EB's would rather sell you a preplayed copy over the new any day of the week. From someone who works at EB, it sounds to me like they misplaced the new gut and gave you the preplayed one for the time being. Take it back to investigate, but don't accuse.

Well it is possible that the new gut had a sticker on it, for inventory counting purposes. From someone who works at EB, it "sounds" like they misplaced the new one and sold you the preplayed copy (being as it's a DS cart, wouldn't make a difference). Take it back to investigate, but don't accuse.

I investigated it right after and took it back, no fuss and went to Target for a sealed copy just to be safe. thanks guys
