Uses for GBM-USB cable?

So when I was checking out GBM-GC cables on ebay (yep, Troz1820 is still the only answer), I found this GBM-USB cable:

Sounds pretty shady to me.. but also possibly a way to get home-brew games to the GBM like the Animal Crossing NES games.

Anybody have any experience with this?

Looks to me like it's just a USB charging cable. I've seen a few for sale at other places.

it's a good way to get around a universal adaptor/ charger if you travel.

Looks like it might also be used to rip roms to your PC and to transfer files to a flashcart.

I can pretty much guarantee that it's just a charging cable and that the description is wrong.

Yeah, you're probably right. My GBA SP data cable has a pretty huge bulge on the USB end with all the circuitry for the linker on that end.
