Various PC games on sale in Amazon
We might need a petition for this. If they see millions of customers, they'll have more incentive to make the game =P
See my name, Fallout 2 is my all time favorite RPG, maybe game ever. I really, really want a Fallout 3.

Good deals on amazon, thanks for posting

If game companies read more of our forum, they should make more money from the general public.
Well, gamerankings is full of shit if Torment isn't on there. Or Fallout. Those two right there are better than KOTOR.
Maybe you should visit it sometimes, gamerankings doesn't rate the games themselves, its more like the average rating of most game sites put together.

I managed to find Baldur's Gate 2 collection also at Half Price Books for 10$ They had a few of em brand new. Not exactly a nationwide store, but I've seen some great PC games there sometimes.

Also, don't pass up on BG 2, you'll be missing out big time. RPG's don't get much better then that, except for Torment and Fallout, which are the best I've ever played. Haven't played BG 1 or 2 yet though.
Fallout is probably my all-time favorite, though. I just like the sci-fi setting with tech and all that.
Agreed. I'm pretty sure that one of my all time favorite games, not just RPG.

I grew up playing computer RPGs, so playing console, Japanese-y RPGs don't really seem like an RPG experience to me. The styles are totally different, and I haven't really enjoyed any JRPGs as much as I have computer RPGs.

I've been meaning to try Baldur's Gate, but the deal is for BG2, and I don't have BG1. Is it better to have played the first one before playing the second one?

Fallout 3 is coming. Bethesda(they made Oblivion) is making it! Nothing is official yet though...
Quake 4 was a blast, bought that shit for $60 on the release date. Highly recommended, especially since it comes with Quake II and both expansions.
Did you get the presale T shirt too? It's awesome collectible if you're a quake fan.

I feel exactly the same way. It took a long time for me to even be able to say RPG and Final Fantasy together in the same sentence. Those types of games are not what I really consider RPGs.

But I digress...(don't get me started!)...

It's not necessary to have played BG 1 before playing the 2nd, but it's better in the sense that you'll have more of the backstory, plus you can import your character from the first game into BG2.

But you'll be fine if you just want to start with BG2.

Thanks! I picked both of them up. Came out to:
I find any "Best RPG" list funamentally flawed, if Fallout or Fallout 2 don't show up anywhere on it.
Agreed!

I saw that at my local Half Price Books. I almost bought a copy just for the soundtrack CD. Next time I visit them I don't know if I'll be able to resist.

Thanks OP! Went with two copies of BG2 collection, one of Icewind Dale II, and one of Icewind dale (marketplace for $0.75 + shipping = less than $5). Now my wife and I have more hours of multiplayer RPG gaming than we can shake a stick at!
