Thought this might be a fun idea to formalize a bit since I like to try to guess what we'll see every week as it is.

It won't ever be perfect since there are far more than 10 possibilities each week, but we'll see how it goes if people have fun with it for a few weeks, and if the choices are remotely close to what we actually see released. If anyone has any suggestions to improve it, please voice them.

I may think about doing some sort of prize at some point... maybe if someone is "perfect" for a month, where "perfect" = not picking a game that doesn't appear that week (so you can be "perfect" if you only enter one guess for a week, and it is one of three games released).

Multiple selections are recommended, and if you choose "Other," please identify your choice in the thread. Poll will close on Friday of every week, on the assumption that if leaks ever occur, it will be on the weekend.
Suppose we can just post what you voted since we can't see them for now.

Galaga, Zelda II, and Chew Man Fu for me.
That's exactly what I voted for before seeing your post. Crazy.

do they have the rights for zombies ate my neighbors??

i frikin loved that game! i bought the cart only version for like $4 a long time ago

Have any of those been rated by the ESRB? Isn't there a whole list of games that have already been rated and are waiting in the wings?

I went through the ESRB last night. As mentioned elsewhere, the ESRB takes things off the list randomly, so there are lots of things like Mario RPG that were rated, but are no longer listed, that I haven't included yet. The official wiki isn't a whole lot of help since it groups things that are/were rated by the ESRB with things that are rumored from a number of other sources.

I'm basically pulling my subjective top 9 most-likely from what I see rated by the ESRB, and what has been released elsewhere or rated elsewhere. Like I said in the OP, if my subjective top 9 is in the general vicinity of what is released every week, this could work. Otherwise, it's not really gonna be worthwhile.

You would think that the games that were re-rated by the ESRB a while ago, such as Beetle Adventure Racing, would be coming soon. One would hope so. Besides, we need more N64 games.

I would like to see Zombies, Zelda II and Castlevania, but ...

I'd really like to see Russ'n Attack, Legendary Wings and Castlevania II. Lifeforce would be cool, too.

If the trend continues with a flagship game each week, I'm going to throw out Star Fox or Metroid. If not one of the big boys then Excite Bike at least.

zelda 2, excitebike, galaga

NES week with zelda being the headliner, excitebike being the "hey, you like excite truck, remember this?!," and galaga being the 'classic' that rounds it all out.

I hope there's something besides this. I want something that I'd actually buy.
I think I am one of the two people on this earth who dislikes ZAMN. I think it has something to do with only ever having played it with the only other person to hate the game. It had a ton of promise, but it just got stale after the mall level.
No you're not the only one. Well, I didn't exactly hate the game, but I didn't really care for it much. I thought it was way too repetitive... not enough variety.

if we could only get excitebike 64 to unlock excitebike nes. Of course nintendo would never do that, theres profit to be had. Well if excitebike nes makes it to vc, no more scanning e reader cards:lol:

They shoulda gave Excite Bike away for getting Excite Truck. Didn't they promise such promotions would happen sometime down the line?

Yeah, but they'd surely make more money releasing similar games or sequels separately. If they released all three Donkey Kong Countries on the same day, many people would just buy their favorite one out of the bunch, while if you spread them out over 6 months or a year, then you'd probably be more inclined to buy all of them.
Well Europe got Oot on Friday (now today in Europe) so Ill throw that in as my bet along with Sonic Spinball...
fucking euros! :[

Yeah... I think I'll have to start ending these on Thursdays due to the Europe releases swaying opinions. 24 hours of voting left, though I don't know if we'll see any results.

I voted for Zelda II and Gradius III. I think Zelda II is more likely though.

I'd love to see this poll every week... and I'd love to see this poll's answers *groans at Cheapy*

I disagree. I'd be inclined to get the one I wanted most, then buy the other two later on. Why can't we let people choose instead of stretching this out?
Bio-Hazard Battle, Chew Man Fu, and Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars.
2/3. I still think SMRPG is coming "soon".
Cheater!
Oops. Cheated and still got it wrong.
2/3. I still think SMRPG is coming "soon".
I hope so. That's one of the ones I'm most looking forward to, since I've never played the original. They should try to get that and Paper Mario out before Super Paper Mario drops.
