I looked this up on Google. It only happens twice every 115 years briefly, and today is the day that it's happening. You're supposed to be able to watch Venus's phases on the sun and will last several hours, as long as its not cloudy outside.

Edit again: The site says that it's only visible from eastern parts of america along with other countries around the world, but if your a midwestern or a western then tough luck :?
