I do work at TRU, you can trust me on this, i've had this ad for weeks now. There's also a coupon for a $10 gift card if you spend $75 or more. Also, if you look at the "Welcome Icon" standee when you walk in the store, it has all the ads currently going, but there's also a "Guide to Differently Abled Children". Look on the back of it, there's a coupon for $5 off a $25 purchase. This is actually valid now thru the end of the year. Usual restrictions apply.
 
Wow, Burnout 3 for $10? Insane, I'm definately picking that one up (hope I can get up to my Circuit City to get it). Jak 3 and R&C 3 for $20 sound pretty tempting too...are they going to be Greatest Hits already? If so, might be worth using the rest of my $5 off coupons at Best Buy...

Karaoke Revolution Party (This may lower your opinion of me, but I like the KR games. Oh, your opinion of me was already that low? Really? I'm still not sure whether to get the Xbox version or the PS2 version. I have mats for both systems, so it comes down to whether I'd rather be able to download songs or put my face in the game. Tough call. The mini-games sound like a lot of fun).


I'm not stating that I'll get all of them, but I am almost definitely getting Gun and KRP. Matrix is a definite possibility if the reviews are good, and Castlevania is probable as well. I'm not much of a PC gamer, but I've been waiting a while to see how The Movies ended up. It'd be nice to see some actual deals on these games, but I'll probably be using store credit anyways. I just hope that Rhino ends up carrying Guitar Hero, or I won't be able to get it for a while.
 
I promised myself I would pick up Burnout 3 again when I traded it in to get Revenege at GS for their deal, looks like I can get finally get it! YAY! Also going to check the 2 for 30 deal at TRU as well. Going to look for Capcom Classics and something else.

That was exactly my feeling when I read that. I thought that one got canned along with B.C and another one from Lionhead Studios.

And should have waited on Burnout 3 I guess. Didn't think I'd see it for 9.99 since it's so popular, but not that big of a deal. Only five dollars more; I'll live.

I found a Best Buy ad for 6-12 laying around in the store. I skimmed through the games section and wrote down:

All these CC deals over the past year or so really make me wish that my local CCs in NY were far better than they actually are. Save for a few deals on new titles they always happen to be OOS of everything worthwhile just three minutes after the store opens. Fairly odd, especially when you're the first person in the section right when they open...

I also got tired of the "sorry, we just installed the last two of [insert random computer hardware that's on sale] on a customer's computer!" excuse too. I don't doubt the veracity of the claim most of the time but after hearing it for eight consecutive deals at different locations within the first 10 minutes of the store opening...

Oh well! I'm just a tad bitter, especially since the local CC here went out just a few months ago. I'm never going to get a CC deal at this rate, heh heh!
