Hey I'm thinking in investing into a super powerful gaming computer for all of my gaming needs but I just don't want to waste extra money on a monitor so, I have my TV which is a 32in HD 1080i Samsung and I want to know if I connect my Computer to the TV through VGA Cable will it be full screen HD?

Thanks!

We've got 42 inch LCD's at my place of business hooked up with VGA cables, and they do 1080p.

Definitely possible...BUT it depends on your TV/monitor. I've got an older LCD that can't do full HD on a VGA cable (but my 50" plasma can).

However, if you're going to get/build a top of the line PC, you'll likely get a card(s) that have HDMI on them. Use that if your TV can handle it.

Well mine is like 2008 LED HDTV, I'm assuming it will work. THANKS!

Thanks![/QUOTE]No, it won't be full 1080p HD.

1080i != 1080p resolution for a PC. My guess is you'll end up with 1280 x 720 or 1366 x 768 resolution when you do VGA connection to the TV.

It also won't matter if you do it over VGA or via HDMI, the TV will only support certain resolutions for a PC. Your owner's manual, either the paper copy or online on Samsung's website if you look up the model #, will list all the resolution modes your TV will do.
