So...why is everyone talking about CC's 2for$30 deal when Best Buy has the same thing for $5 less listed up there. Is there something I'm missing?

According to the OP, it's only GH/PH/PC games. I'm doubting that you're going to be able to get those two games through this deal.

Comically, I made the same dumb mistake, but it's really $55. You were looking at Target, right? The $40 is for NFSU2 and RE4. It must be the color that throws you off, or what, but I was really excited there for a second.
 
That 2 for $25 is a great deal.

Is there a list of all of the Greatest, Hits, Platinum Hits & Player's Choices games (the $19.99 games) on the net somewhere?
 
WOW :shock: Pretty good deals. I might pick up Sly for 9.99, or the Best Buy Greatest Hits deal. Then again, if I buy 4 19.99 games at Toys R Us, I'll pay $60, and get a $10 giftcard. Decisions, Decisions....

That sucks indeed. That's how I have had to do it the last couple of times since they keep giving me crap about their own policy of matching it 110%. It used to be simple, I would come in show them the that it was cheaper elsewhere and they would give me the PM without giving me any crap. Then one time I saw them not give me the extra 10% like they were supposed to and came back and had to argue just to get the stupid extra 10% off like it says in their policies, which are shown in the store. Now I just do the way you recommend it, go buy the item ahead of time (thanks again Trust for posting them early for us) and then come back with the ad within 7 days and have them PM it down if I know they don't have it cheaper, otherwise I'd just GGC the item.

Oh yaeh, BB is probably the worst electronics store on the face of the planet.

It was because of the late edit that trust/Succesful Dropout did. We only saw the 2 for $30 deal then.

If you look at each consoles respective forums on this site, you will see a sticky at the top of each forum with the list of their respective PH/GH/PC titles.

O.K., time to update what I said earlier. No longer shall I be looking forward to CC's 2 for $30 deal, but rather I look toward BB for their wonderful 2 for $25 to appease my cheapassiness. Hopefully my BB will have RE 0 and 1 since I just recently (today) bought RE 4 CE. Maybe I'll also ad AC and something else.

I just realized... People on Fatwallet have been reporting a 10% off coupon for Best Buy from 3/11 till 3/14.

Did any Cagers get it? If they did, can they scan and post it? Can it be combined with the 2 for $25?

If so that'll make it 2 for $22.50. $11.25 per game.

and don't forget those pricegrabber rebates!

I got SSBM at the last "Buy 2 PC" sale at CC, which had the same "$19.99" proviso, but it's hard to argue with that bright yellow packaging. If your store doesn't have SSBM in the PC wrapper, you can bring along Nintendo's PC list and try to argue the point, but it'll be much harder than if they stock the PC version in the first place.
 
2 for $25 at BB? Boy, is this tempting. A warm goodbye to my $25 before it's gone for good on Sunday.

My CC definatly has the PC copies, so i'll give it a try, i don't even want the game, but I need more first-party GC games in my collection. Did the BB ad mention anything about the games being 19.99 and under, otherwise they should give it to me.

Also i think it's odd how a lot of people, myself included at times, are so anal about not wanting GH, yet here we all are preparing to get in on this.
 
I was checking out the official playstation site for a list of greatest hits and i see listed Spiderman 2 as one of them. Is this true or mistake?
 
I just got my Sunday ads this morning and saw that TRU has a free $10 gift with purchase of $50 or more. So what I'm thinking of is ad matcing BB at TRU and getting 4 games for $50 and get a $10 gift card to boot!!

Probably not. I had one of those $5 off coupons for any PS2 game $30 or more that I had gotten off of a giftcard @ Christmas. Took it in a couple weeks ago when they had DMC3 for $40 and tried to use it - the coupon cancelled out the sale price. :? Really irritated me, and I mentioned to the cashier how they never have anything worth using that coupon on anyway. She apparently felt my pain, and said they wouldn't even allow employees to be in the Reward Zone.

If this deal was any $20 game, I'd be all over it. Viewtiful Joe 2 & Tak 2 for $25 would rock. Oh well, don't really need to spend the money anyway I suppose... :wink:

Is this a regional thing only or what?

Read the OP's first post. It's pretty clear if you ask me, but basically the 2 for $25 at BB is on all PC/PH/GH games, nothing more and nothing less. The sale probably won't work on games that regularly priced 19.99.

I think it happens at all Sears, but not all areas post the same ads. My town's Sears sucks and has a tiny video games section, if one at all, and they don't print VGs in the ad here. But I drive about 20 minutes away and pick up an ad and they're in there. On Sears' site, try using a different zip code to look up the ad, one that maybe you know is close by.
 
I need to find the Target Ad stat. RE4 is $40, I have a $20 Reward Zone certificate at BB, pricematch and boom, RE4 for $20 out of pocket. :D
