First!... Thanks Dropout!

Question: Is that 3 for 2 on everything in TRU or just those listed in the circular? You did post below, "more available in store."

the more available in store is below the 2 for $20

Wonder what best buy's starting kit could possibly have in it? Sony has already crammed a bunch of useless stuff down our throat in their vailue pack what other crap could we possibly need for this thing?

Thinking more about that Circuit City deal ... if there were two other GC games you wanted, you could get Jungle Beat w/ bongos for $41. If you can add something like Classic NES GBA games ($11.25 at 25% off), that could be a real deal.

Very curious. Thanks again s.d.

Glad that the only thing I wanted to pick up this week, Jungle Beat, is already on the way to me.

I'm passing on the PSP for a while (even though it comes out on my birthday \:D/ ), so I'm covered there.

As always, TSD, thanks for the early info.
Thanks (again) for the list. Trying to resist the call of the PSP.
good luck.. i'm thinking its layaway at wal mart if they have one.. if not.. Kmart opens at 9 heh.. i don't think its as hyped up (here at our local used v-game store.. where everyone hangs out... everyone is too interested in halo 2 to get into a new system right now)
At Circuit City, are those Nintendo specials interchangeable? Could I buy a GC, GBA and DS game and save 25%?
I'd like to know that too. Thanks for posting these nice and early once again. :)

If the games are interchangable at CC this is what I plan on picking up:

DS
---
Yoshi Touch & Go

GBA
-----
Zelda: The Minish Cap

GCN
-----
Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat

All for the low, low price of $86.25 + Tax. A savings of $28.75! I'm praying this deal will allow for mix and matching, otherwise I'll just have to get 3 DS games.

Wow, I held out on using my CompUSA gift card until the PSP came out. Nice that they have a decent deal on games, but they had better be in stock when I get there!

Thanks for the heads up again!

Awesome. Thanks again TrustCo./Dropout

On the CC deal:

PSP
$289.99
System Bundle
includes Twisted Metal, Spider-Man 2, 32MB memory stick duo, headphones w/ remote control, ac adapter, soft case & video sampler

I'm assuming Spider-Man 2 movie not game right...?

Regarding BB's PSP deals:

Probably very very YMMV but could we combine 3 of the gamepro magazine coupons and 3 GGC coupons to buy 3 games AND get the $20 gift card?

That sounds like a pretty damn good deal if it worked since you get $30 worth of savings on that purchase and $20 more on a future purchase(since they probably won't let u use the gift card in the same purchase)...

Man that would be sweet if it worked...

i highly doubt it.. probably just one coupon or one GGC w/ the $20 gift card

That would indeed be amazing, but since that didn't work with past Gamepro coupons (we all remember the amazing $5 off Live games coupon), I can't see it working now. However, if we can use the Gamepro coupons with the $20 GC offer, then I might just grab my games now.

I've seen a real life NA PSP since I've become friends with the Sony rep for our area, and now the system seems more tempting after seeing it in person. The thing in person is just amazing, but the battery life is still kind of so-so from what he told me. I think if I actually had the money, I'd go out and get one but the price that they are coming out is just excessive for a portable and I'll wait for a few price drops to say the least.

The bundle on the DS at BB is extremely tempting though. I'll have to see if I can maybe scrounge up some cash for that.

thanks as always TSD/trust.

I guess it is a dull week for deals.

Haven't you guys learned anything about launch systems? XBOX and PS2 eventually had defects in many units, Gamecube lacked games, and the Nintendo DS lacks games. Why anyone would rush out and drop 250 on a PSP is beyond my comprehension.

Because it has the best launch lineup in the history of gaming. Lumines alone is worth $300.

That Circuit City deal looks sweet.
If it starts Sunday, even better.
Would it be in the circular/ad? Able to PM at Toys'R'Us?

I'm thinking of getting

DS -
Atari Retro Classics - $30
Yoshi's Touch and Go - $30
Total - $60 - 15% = $51

GCN -
Donkey Kong Jungle Beat - $50
Donkey Konga - $50?
Total - $100 - 15% = $85

Is there a cheaper way for me to get those games I'm planning on getting?

If you can't combine the two and get 25% off, then you could always buy a cheap 3rd game just to qualify for the 25%, especially for the GCN games.

If you got a Players Choice title for $20 more, you would have
DK:JB - $50
DKonga - $50
Zelda:WW (or whatever) - $20
Total - $120 - 25% = $90

So you would be getting the PC title for only $5 more. And if CC has any cheaper GCN games, you might actually save money and get the extra game.

Sounds good, might work with the DS too.
I'm actually thinking about buying Alien Hominid as well (have been for a while).
Anyway, I hope this is listed in the circular, then I can bring it to Toys'R'Us or Best Buy or EBgames to get it price matched.
What's the best place to PM stuff? Most avaiability/best chances to get the games I'm looking for?

Also, if they let me do 3 mix and match for %25, I'd just drop the Retro Atari Classics. The other 3 are great games, been looking for quite a while.
If no mix and match, then some more games for a bit more. Then again, if it's Price Match and it doesn't specifically say it in the ad, I can probably loophole it with some smooth talk

EDIT: I might just go tomorrow to Manhattan, so I'm probably gonna buy Jungle Beat. I'm gonna keep this %25 for Donkey Konga, Touch and Go, and whatever else I can find (Atari Retro, Alien Hominid, any Player's Choice game or maybe a DS game)

Ah, a man after my own heart. Just a heads up - Donkey Kong JB is either $55 (w/ Bongos) or $40 without, not $50. Also, I would stay as far away from Retro Atari Classics as possible. Hope we both score good on this deal.

Retro Atari, bad game?
Jungle Beat still seems okay for $55.
