VGViews Nintendo Wii Contest

Hi everyone,

VGViews.com is holding a "3 Months of Wii" contest in February, March and April. The writer of the best game review each month will win a Nintendo Wii. So far there are only 10 entries in February. Contest rules can be found here: http://www.vgviews.com/vgviewscontest.php

VGViews is a brand new social networking site for gamers centered around Video Game Reviews. Its a place for gamers to both let their friends know what they think about games they have a played, and to see what other gamers think.

Check it out and I'd love to hear what you guys think of the site.

Thanks,

Nitzan Wilnai

Sounds similar to the mascot contest. This might be more up my alley...though I think there'll be more competition since CAGs regularly write due to forum activity. Either way, thanks! Looks interesting. :)

Just wanted to let you guys know that the March portion of the VGViews "3 Months of Wii" contest ends in 2 days. All you have to do is register and write a game review. Right now there are only 21 qualified entries, so the odds are pretty good.

You may enter as many times as you want by reviewing different games. The contest rules can be found here: http://www.vgviews.com/vgviewscontest.php

Good luck.

Albedo's review took a while to be chosen. I think it was ~4 days. This was mostly due to the contest panel having a hard time picking between three reviews.

We have already picked a winner for March. We started rating the reviews early and Splatoon's review of Stranglehold for PC really stood out making it easier to pick a winner this month.

We have one more Wii to give out in April. There were only 28 entires in February and March, and of those only a dozen or so were actually "good" each month. So keep submitting reviews and good luck in April.

You can review any game for pretty much any console, PC, Mac or even Web!

We are not releasing the runner up information, but from looking at your reviews squarecircle, they both rated fairly high in the contest. My biggest recommendation for your future reviews would be to pay close attention to the "contest rating" in the rules.

Very few reviews got a lot of points in the "Creative Writing" section, and this month that section made the majority of the difference in selecting a winner.

Well, that gives me somerelief. What do you mean by contest rating? The criteria?

FYI - So far there are only 11 entries for the April portion, and there is less than a week left. If you want to win a Nintendo Wii, this could be your chance.

I will do this when there is not so much alcohol in me. Because supposedly I am a writer by trade and I do like a nice Wii now and then... Tagging for later.

Aw, I'm a bit disappointed I didn't win. Would've been cool if you had sent out what people had scored on their review even if they didn't win; I'm trying to use my writing to get me a job and it'd be nice to know why I failed.

This also makes the third or fourth Wii competition I've lost. :p
