Viacom Looks to Advertise in Video Games (Reuters)

If they want to start advertising in games then drop the price of them! I'll take a couple of bullshit ads for a better price on new games.

you know something I'm on the fence on ? I know sooner or later madden and the other sports games will update the parks and arenas with new and current ads. So you'll be able to play in staples center with a big Van helsing ad one week and a Garfield ad the next.

While it's cool that the arena will represent what is really there, it's kinda lame to look at ads.

Maybe the shows you like do, but in an average week, around 97 of the top 100 most watched shows air on free broadcast television. The highest cable show is usually around 80th.[/quote]

That doesn't prove anything - maybe more people have access to the free stuff.

More people do have access, but the fact is the numbers between broadcast and cable are not even close. Broadcast actually had the top 297 programs aired during the 2003-2004 season. Cable's top rated program came in 298th place. Here is the information I am talking about:

I can get you the most recent weekly information if you still don't beleive me.

Where do you get current ratings? Boxofficemojo.com used to have them, but for some reason they stoped putting them on their website.

I work in the industry, so I have access to sites that have them.

if it were something like... making the generic stores in gta into actual stores... like instead of some random tool store, it was maybe.. sears? (just an example). that in my opinion would be kinda cool.. but i have a feeling it'll be more like some of the games u see where you put the disc in, then there are like 5 cinematic advertisements that you either can or cannot skip..
