Wow, geez, no offense, but so far this game sucks shit.
No tutorial, the manual sucks ass, and I keep getting my ass kicked repeatedly by this Oda

er in the story mode... I feel like this game is king of the button mashers, at this point, and I'm winning by luck and not by skill.
So far I'm not even getting $10 worth out of it... this game definitely needed a tutorial or something.
I've logged lots of time into the entire Fight Night series and so far this game has disappointed on many levels, espically after seeing the hype for so long.
I mean... this game dosen't even health bars, and the game has no sort of way of showing me how damaged someone is? I'm glad I can nail 20 hits on Oda and he hits me twice and I go down.
-Yeah, you would've been more advised to pick up VB1 first (which had a decent tutorial). This is more of a flaw of VB2 than the actual game engine. You shouldn't be expected to have played all of the games in the series to enjoy a later game, but VB2 kind of expects you to have played VB1.
-I suggest watching the video review at gamespot for VB1. It might help you make more sense of the engine. It has a lot to do with body movement and momentum behind your punches.

-The manual (or lack thereof) can be directly attributed to its $10 MSRP. The lack of an in-game tutorial is a fault of the actual game, as we pretty much got the European localization of the original japanese game, which I'm guessing didn't have a tutorial either.
-There aren't any health bars in real life either!
