Video Card reccomendations and deal around $400

I am putting together my next PC and would like reccomendations on a good video card and deal for video card around $400.

I would check out the GeForce 7's since they're the best card you can get currently on the market. PCI Express is the newest technology and the newest gen of NVIDIA's only support it.

If you're not going PCI-E yet, I suggest a geforce 6800gt, they're about $300 and can overclock past 6800ultras. Geforces are great for the D3 engine btw, if you're upgrading for Quake 4 like I am

If going on the AGP platform then a 6800GT
If going on the PCI-E Platform then a 7800GTX(GTX if u can a good seller)

7800GT should be the card to get at that price range. But, what are your other system specs? I don't want to recommend that card if your going to pair it with a system that can't keep up.
