Video Editing Help

AVID works wonderfully on a Mac as well... much better than on a PC.

The best PC program IMO is Adobe Premiere.

I think i tried AP once.

Is there any freewarevideo editing programs, instead?

Im actually using Video Edit Magic but i hate the streaming preview, its not synch'd.

Oh free... um ya...

No.

iMovie and Windows Movie Makers are the only real free programs they are, video editing is not exactly a cheap enterprise. The FCPro I have cost my company about $1000
 
Depending on what kind of editing you plan to do... there are ways to do some of the basic stuff using free programs. The problem is, you'll need multiple apps so it's very time consuming and free programs aren't as feature rich as the licensed ones.
