CAGiversary!
My local Virgin (Denver) is clearancing out a lot of xbox/ PS2 games for $5 or less. Most the usual suspects (old sports) with a few older gems.

I picked up Buffy for xbox.

They are also having a 2 for $30 on Platinum Hits/ Greatest Hits

hi, i was at the Virgin MegaStore at timesquare in NYC these past few days (yes I did new years at times square woot!!)...there selection was very crappy..however I did see Sims 2 Expansion: Nightlife for 14.99!! I was going to pick it up but for some reason decided not to :(

Saw a 90 planetside prepaid card box for 5 bucks..don't know if that game is still up and running anymore.

I was at the Virgin Megastore at Downtown Disney in Orlando on New Years Eve. They were also having a buy 2 for $30 sale, but more interesting than that there was 50% off select titles.

I picked up Half-Life 2 GOTY Edition for $25, and Half-Life 1 Anthology for $10.

Fantastic deal.

If you really want it, I suggest you hurry back ASAP. That store has plenty of stock and quite a huge amount of space but it's quite rare that it has anything that resembles a worthwhile deal (being in Times Square and all). The fact that they haven't overpriced some items alone is quite shocking!

Just some advice, if you're still on the fence. I've picked up a calendar and a few CDs here and there since they had great prices over the years, but I've learned that if you see something there you may as well pick it up if the price delights you. :D

I think they've upped the percentage off to 75%. At least my store did.

I gotta check out the Virgin Megastore in downtown San Francisco to see if there's any worthwhile deals there. I went there a couple of weeks ago and got Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater for $15, which I thought was pretty good. Hopefully there's some better offers there now.

I had that in my hand -- at that store -- the week before, and put it back because I didn't want to spend $20. Looks like it might be time for a quick stop on my way over to Animal Kingdom today.

unfortuntily im back to work in VA.. i only buy cds in there...mostly the ones that i can't find in VA that are mostly out of print. After waiting in line for hours for conan obrian tickets and then learning that he was on vacation for the rest of the year got me so bumed out that I went to FYE near by and bought over 200$ worth of movie soundtracks :p I did buy some comic stuff from Virgin but no movies or anything. They tend to jack the prices above MSRP all the time... i mean come on 54.99 for SW:Battlefront 2??? I will probibly go back in march/april as I usually find something new that wasn't there before :p

If anyone is interested... there are about 5 copies of TW2006 for PC for 19.99 at the Virgin Megastore at Times Square

Denver Virgin Megastore has a variety of games at 2 for $30.00. Some of the titles included:

Jade Empire
Rogue Agent
Everything or Nothing
Megaman 10th Anniversary
Worms 4 Mayhem

A few Lord of the Rings titles and various 2005 Sports titles.

Some update...

went to the Union Square Virgin Megastore for the NYC CAGers..

over 10 TW 2006 for PC @ 19.99
a few Counterstrike #1 Collection for PC @ 9.99
a few Half-Life Collection for PC @ 9.99
a few copies of NBA Live 06 for PC @ 19.99
Various old 2005 EA Sports games at discounted price
Quite a bunch of the Medal of Honor games for PC at discounted price

and as reminder the Times Square Virgin had

about 5 or so left of the TW 2006 for PC @ 19.99
a copy or two of NBA Live 06 for PC @19.99
a few Star Wars Battlefront II for PC @ 29.99
and some of the Medal of Honor games for PC

the Union Square location has alot more games for PC compared to the Times Square location

and as a followup.... unfortunately someone must've grabbed all the Nightlife Expansions, because there weren't any left.

i haven't been to the Virgin Megastore in San Francisco in quite some time, but I'll definitely check it out if I'm in the area sometime.

A lil bump here.

Went to the Mega store on Michigan Ave today and had the 2 for $30 on games and i think buy 1 umd get 1 free thing.

Only MGS 3 and Manhunt seem to be worth buying.

B1G1 free on UMDs is only on select titles, i think... i saw Terminator and 28-Days stickered.
