Yhea I bought the limited edition for my son for the Clix. Given the issues with limited edition discs I might just have to return what I bought and pick up the new set. Guess I'll have to wait and see how good the deal is.

PC version is far superior, the Xbox version is a good port but it has some slowdown during hectic fights, which isn't present in the PC version. In fact, the PC HL2 supports really low-end machines when running in DX 7 or 8, I even ran it on the integrated (IE shitty) graphics card on my laptop.

Plus, the Xbox version has no online whatsoever, nor will you see graphical updates to the original HL2 as the new episodes come out (when Episode 1 came out it added HDR to the entire game, although I'm sure that's available as a standalone update now).

Target's version has no case and the alternate color scheme of Pink / Black.

Best Buy had the pack with the Brain Age 2 game & carrying case for $149.99 or the red / black system by itself for $129.99.

On the other hand, the 2-pack HaloClix set was limited to pre-orders only, and no extras were available. The 4-pack was available to anyone.

The preview pack is already going for $25+ on ebay. One went for as high as $45.

While they are getting short-changed, and it isn't right, at least the preview edition is becoming valuable.

Is there a place to see the ads early online? I want to know more than what was posted... like other items?
 
My plan was to cancel my Zelda PH preorder at Familyvideo ($26) thinking there'd be a $25-$30 price at one of these stores and I could just go pick it up at launch. But they're all $34.99. So I guess I'm sticking with my FV preorder.

Now Target has it at
New DS Lite Game System // Crimson/Black // Available 10/3/07 - is $119.99?

Will CC give me the difference?

well d_icon, when its time for the weekly sales, just go back to CC with the Target Ad in hand and say you would like them to price match it and most likely, they will do that for you

World in Conflict for $40 is tempting. I'll have to see how things turn out at my job, my manager is getting a free copy and told me it's mine if he doesn't like it. But regardless, thanks OP.

Not sure if you found the answer elsewhere, but this http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/archive/index.php/t-689318.html
thread over at AVS indicates that it does run in widescreen, but with some significant loading time and framerate issues.
It's an old thread so perhaps newer updates improved it.

I've never played HL2 but have always meant to pick it up. For $5 I think I think I'll chance it.
 
The Target ad also shows the white DS on sale for $119.

So do you guys think CC will price match it? They gave me a free case when I got the DS. I bought it when they had the buy a DS and get a free case. Will CC say they already gave me a case or can I still have them price match it?
