Got this in an E-mail from Tigerdirect.com I've ordered from them on several occasion (actually bought a Tv from them a year ago or so)

42" 1080P for 800 is pretty good, its a refurb, but so is mine (as well as my friends 42" 720p vizio) and neither of us have had problems, if your a worry wart, you can buy a 3 year extended replacement warranty directly from vizio for 80 bucks on their site (thats what I did)

you must be in an unlucky state of FL, IL, or NC. (the only states they charge tax in)

whoops, your right the 2 year was 80, the 3 year was 100.

so, sorry not as GREAT of a deal as I thought, but still a pretty good deal on a 1080P TV (have you seen many for under 1,000 besides possible a black friday deal?)

[quote name='SimplyBlue']This would have been a nice option to have to look at before I bought the in-house Best Buy brand. Though I have no complaints with the purchase I made. Just wish I could have saved on sales tax as I would have saved $70-80.

My brother in law bought this TV about a month ago and it looks very nice.

The TV has a piano finish like the PS3 and the quality is very good. We watched the superbowl and it looked very clear.

I'm thinking about buying an insignia but I might try the Vizio .

Oh I definitely don't have any complaints about the Insignia. The blacks show up really good and even when the room is bright the picture looks great. I also like the fact that it has a VGA input. Based on what I read on the AVS forums, rumor has it that it is made of LG parts. I went ahead and bought the 4 year warranty for $130 since it was a Best Buy house brand TV.

anyone have any tigerdirect coupons? found what i might do with my income tax. Anyone have this that can tell me how it is?
