Yeah, some people say I have it made because I work from home and I'll admit, it's nice to roll out of bed for my commute. Each situation is different though and just the fact that I work from home doesn't make it the perfect job.

But when you're looking at an hour drive each way that adds a bit of weight to it.

Of course if you're changing jobs regardless and this is just one option then you'll be driving anyway. How much do you like your car, really? :lol:

I actually love to drive, but I'd be taking the train. If I drove, it would be about twice as long a commute.

That is the thing....I live pretty far from most of the jobs so when I do change jobs I'll most likely be looking at an hour commute no matter what. There is stuff closer to me, but it's very scarce. Downtown is thebest option for a new job because I can take the train.
 
ahh, well there are certainly more than a few consulting places in Chicago. I'm hoping to start searching there within the next year.

Any suggestions?
