Wait to buy a PS3?

I just received credit through the amazon trade-in. Have about $250.00 in credit and I'm torn between purchasing a console now, or waiting for a deal. I missed the $100 gift card promotion, so anyone agree I'd be best to wait out until New Years for a deal?

I plan to buy a PS3 by the time Mass Effect 2 releases.

i've been hoping for a ps3 new year's sale also. wife mentioned buying one the day after Christmas. Keeping my fingers crossed!

That's a bummer that you missed the deals. Yea, if you can wait, you should. Other deals are bound to show up soon enough.
