Casino Royale fucking rocked. I'll have a boner all weekend after watching that film. :D

That works to the advantage of our plans.

Sounds like any other weekend for you. :D

Can't wait to see Casino Royale in an hour. Looks like it's gonna be awesome, between the amazing reviews, the fact that it has a 96% at Rotten Tomatoes, and now I've been hearing nothing but good from people who've seen it.

So a friend of mine slept in Wal-Mart for two days to get 1 of 4 PS3 that all of Murray KY was getting and he sold it today for $2200.

fucking Bull Shit....

Also I will go see Casino Royale tonight and I am upset that Borat was pulled after only 1 week here.
Sounds like any other weekend for you. :D
Well yeah, but that's after driving past the horse corral on the way home from work. This was from a Bond movie. :D

Have fun... and be sure to wear a cup.

You'll see what I mean.
NO.

IT IS THE APOCALYPS3.

OMFG. I AM MARKETING GENIUS.

TAKE THAT, fuckERS.
Too awesome for words.

EDIT: Kaz Hirai is on G4. Watch.

I'm starting to wonder if not preordering a Wii was a mistake. I know I said I wouldn't get one at launch but after reading some reviews I'm psyched.

This rush of games is extremely painful.

I still need to buy Call of Duty 3 (360), F.E.A.R. (360), Rainbow Six: Vegas (360) and a Wii with Twilight Princess, Metal Slug Anthology and Red Steel.

Not having credit is painful, at times.

(I can't buy a Wii 'til December.)
I'm number 6 in line at FYE.

They're getting 5.

I got fucking owned, so I'm probably camping Best Buy with a friend.
I'm hoping that Nintendo sticks to the 4 million units by year end figure. So at least if I don't get one at launch I should be able to snag it by years end.
Does Nintendo HQ have some sort of retail store you could pick it up at?
They do, but technically we're not supposed to go there. It's for employees only, and we're students. But, if we can convince a teacher to take us, possibly.

Grab Call of Duty 3:D;)
What music should I listen to as I pass out after taking NyQuil?

Note: I'm sick as a fuckin' dog, not some hippy. :p
Lullabies to Paralyze, foo'.

I was going to get a Wii, and then I realized that the post launch drought is hitting the Wii just as hard as it did the DS.

I think the only game coming out in Janurary is fucking WarioWare... according to GS, everything I was interested in is in June, like Metroid Prime 3 and Smash Brothers Brawl.

I'm kinda pissed Nintendo hyped the shit out of both games and they are still 7 months off, if the GS dates can be believed.

Looks like I won't be getting a Wii until April when supposedly Mario Galaxy comes out... I have a feeling we're going to see alot of threads in the next few months like "Where's the games??".

It's funny how caught up people get in system launches and line-up's when the months AFTER a system launches are bare as hell and the systems end up being a giant paperweight.

I've been thinking that too, and is the biggest reason I didn't bother preordering my Revolut... I mean, Wii.

I hope you're not thinking all 4 million will be coming to the US, because that's being spread out across Europe, NA, and Japan. Japan gets 400k for their launch and I'm not sure what we get (maybe close to a million or so), and Europe probably gets a sizable amount, as well.

I just remember how my DS was a fucking brick for months after I got it, and every once in awhile (read: a few months) we'd get a decent game for it.

Then, once developers learned how to use the system's strengths (read: this year) we're getting some awesome games for the DS and a ton of them. I'm hoping the Wii will be the same way, and that a long drought of games people will eventually forget will pave the way to some awesome experiences.

Gamecube games FTW. ;)

The GameCube had games? ;o
I've been thinking that too, and is the biggest reason I didn't bother preordering my Revolut... I mean, Wii.
I feel the same way. If I really wanted to play Zelda I would have kept my Gamecube, and there is nothing at launch that grabs me. The Gamecube had a much better launch and post launch lineup than the Wii is looking like it will have (after May there was at least one decent game a month until Metroid). Plus a game like Smash bros was something that you could get hooked on for months and there is nothing like that this time around.

I plan on sticking with my 360 this generation and probably that will be it. A good PC and a 360 are more than enough for me (hell the PC is probably enough, but I didn't feel like upgrading until Vista). Nintendo dropped the ball because at 199 I probably would have used the 150 in credit I had on one and just bought Gears out of pocket, but at 250 it was too much.
The GameCube had games? ;o
That's news to me!

Nah, GC has some decent games... I have all the Resident Evil's on my Cube, and some Nintendo stuff. Then some misc. games.

This post went kind of nowhere.

And yea, Smash Brothers so soon after the GC launch saved it for me.
I wonder if you can use freeloader and load up naruto 4...:whistle2:k
That's one of the first things I'm trying out when I get the Wii tomorrow night.

The library isn't deep, but what's there is great. The Wii replaces my busted Cube better than buying another Cube. Naruto 4's the best multiplayer fighter on the system hands down, Metroid Prime the best game on the system, I've got several RPG's to play, the Legend of Zelda games, F-Zero, Alien Hominid, Super Monkey Ball, Soul Calibur 2, Pikmin (if I can actually beat it the third time through), and then my import games if they actually play with a Freeloader.

The only thing that sucks is that GC gaming on the Wii requires a vertical position for the console, but that's not that big of a deal.
Wuh?

I'm... speechless. I don't have any idea why that is.
Aren't the Wii's discs larger than the Gamecube's? Maybe it needs to be vertical so the GCN discs can slide into a groove or something to hold them in place so the console can read them. That's the only somewhat reasonable explanation I can come up with.
Wuh?

My original plan was to put the Wii under the PStwo there. Notice a problem there that makes use GC/Wavebird controllers a little more difficult. I'll probably have to put it on top, vertically, to the left of the PS2 disc drive cover.
Has to be vertical for GC games?

News to me. Kinda disappointing too, but I guess I can deal with it...
That's a pain in the ass for people with tight setup space.

I already did. It just sits below in the storage tier of my entertainment center with the SNES.

Wal Mart won't tell me how many Wiis they have/will be getting.

Bastards.

I'll be there at 6 or 7 PM tomorrow, hopefully it'll be soon enough.
Then why show us an outdated picture?
Where is this phantom GC at? I took this just after seeing your queries. That's a DC next to it. You can kind of see the GC through the glass below.

The one by me is expecting around 20+.

Be warned, 5 am yesterday there were already 40 people in line for the 5 PS3s they got, so you might want to go earlier.

Yeah, that's what I'm afraid of, but I can't get there any earlier than 6. unfortunately.

All I can do is hope, I suppose.
